[b]Withering Rooms 1.12 (2023-8-13)[/b] [b]New Features[/b] In the Burial Ground, you can now turn in your "blemished" bestiary pages earned while defeating new monsters while holding the Burdened Book for a series of new item rewards: - Closed Gaze Ring (Curious Ring) - Cat Ears (Light Headwear) - Rust Cloak (Light Outfit) - Cursed Armor (Heavy Outfit) - Cursed Helmet (Heavy Headwear) - Moonless Formless Ring (Curious Ring) - "Drink Me" Potion (Tool) - "Eat Me" Cake (Tool) [b]Significant Polish[/b] * The game has a new audio mix with mastered music, ambience and vocals. Overly harsh or loud sounds should be reigned in by a new mixing setup with additional compression. This is still in progress. Please press / to report sounds that are too loud or quiet on your setup. * Quest display has been overhauled to include a small picture. Many additional quests have been added to help guide and remind the player of what needs to be done. [b]Polish[/b] * Due to asset optimization, the game install size has been reduced by ~800mb * A Target 30 FPS graphics option now exists on Steam Deck(off by default) to conserve battery * Improved arm tracking for gun toting enemies such as Graverider or Valley Zombies * All Hagsacks now have a unique icon * The appearance of the Mourning Veil and Christmas Ghost Robe have been improved * Clowns now use a Yorkshire dialect * The Little Wretch now has improved animation and behavior, such as running away after being hit * Blackett House has proper sounds now, including muffled screams and laughter [b]Balance[/b] * Shields push combatants away on block and hitting a shield results in extra pushback, helping keep foes separated when blocking * Nightingale is no longer affected by hit pushback while rolling, making it easier to roll past enemies * The Bloody Bell is no longer a left hand item, and scales with spell damage * Enchanted Candlestick and Bloody Bell are now upgradeable * Valley Zombies are more likely to fire their guns * Damage of Mad Witch & Cursed Armor decreased * Health of Mad Witch decreased * Damage & health of Chapter 4 bosses increased * Aborted Experiments have been slowed down [b]Bug Fixes[/b] * Fix periodic crashes introduced in 1.11 while "Noise Effect" is enabled * Fix followers such as the Doll having trouble entering the room where the player is * Fix instances of odd collision introduced in 1.11 * Fix Spell Toll not being charged properly * Fix some Guardian Chests not opening even after all nearby monsters dead * Fix the Church Basement metal door being enterable when power is off * Night Mother Doll not blocking many types of damage fixed * Fixed significant stat display inaccuracies for resistance and damage * Fix Spirit Form not affecting default clothes * Several typos have been fixed * Fix the Cloaked Ghoul's lights being visible inside the wardrobe when hiding on Very high graphics level * Fix greying of the skin due to cursedness not affecting freshly equipped outfits * Fixed some rare instances of important furniture not spawning
