1.0 Minor Update 1 (v. 1.0.28)

Tales & Tactics

Roguelike Squad-based Autobattler in a Tabletop RPG setting. Draft your army, carefully equip and position your units, make important choices, and meet a colorful cast of characters as you make ready for the Grand Tournament.

In PVP, you now automatically Vault if you can afford to when you click the Fight button, since there is no downside to doing so in PVP (as it only returns more Star Points than you invested). If you have the "Save For Later" perk, this is functionality is disabled. Fixed an issue related to the event reward "Herb-Crusted Pot Pie" The Homebrew achievement is now earnable with Drafted characters, but the Drafted character must be different from one of the premade default characters in some way. Fixed keybinding changes not saving for many players. Removed an old difficulty modifier that is no longer in use from the Difficulty screen's custom modifier list. Fixed an issue where in the case of an extremely packed board, generated entities like the Marksman dummy could spawn on the wrong team's side of the board. Fixed Potions being cleared from Morphlings when they change into new units. Added a niche prevention to using Potions with the Enchanted Flask perk on Morph-o-minions before they have turned into a Unit - since you can't own a Morph-o-minion, this action is now prevented in that specific case. Fixed the Privileged Position perk secretly reducing the SP cost of Mythics by 1 Fixed the Weighed Down negative perk not functioning Fixed a minor visual issue with the enemy side hex tile appearance when loading into the Hexatach Labs table. Fixed an issue where Cloning Capsule would sometimes stop functioning. Morphlings holding a Cloning Capsule will now generate another Morphling instead of the unit the Morphling is cloning. Adding some video setting safeguards to force certain settings to their current standards on launch, ones that have been removed from the video settings menu such as Resolution Scale. This would sometimes result in users who played before those options were removed having them permanently stuck to their previous values (most commonly resulting in excessively blurry textures) Fixed a Spirit ghost holding a Receiving Ring, and a Spirit Unit on board holding a Giving Ring, creating a negation loop and resulting in a permanently unkillable army. This fix also extends to other situations where the holder of the Receiving Ring is in a state of being non-targetable and invulnerable, such as the Stasis effect. Removed the "PVPGuy" default name. New players will need to type in a name to play PVP. PVPGuy is temporarily banned as an acceptable name because we are getting too many entries of that name in our server. Fixed Skeleton double-revive perk carrying into future runs on the same session. Fixed Chronometrics' faster Overtime effect carrying over into future runs on the same session. When starting an Instant Start run on Highest CC difficulty setting, and you are advancing upward to new Challenge Climb stages you have not been to before, a pop-up will appear informing you of the new effects. This prevents players who exclusively used Instant Start from never seeing the Challenge Climb effects as they climbed. Fixed the Combat speed display visually resetting in between fights, though this was only a UI visual, the fight speed remained what you had previously set it to. Fixed the Vault and Rerolls unlocks not enabling their respective UI elements as of Hotfix 8 Fixed an issue where benched units could benefit from certain end-of-combat proc effects, such as the Cloning Capsule. Fixed minor visual display issue with Army Size indicator when starting the 2nd run of a session Fixed minor visual display issue when playing a PVE run after a PVP run. Fixed an issue where Pilot Dave's Airship Idle sound would turn off. Reworded the Crop Rotation perk description to be a bit more clear. When making a bug report from the pause menu, the screenshot will now display the game screen rather than the pause menu.
