[h2]Hello Survivors! [/h2] It's time to roll out the V0.89 Graphics Overhaul! Better looking characters is one of the major changes I had planned since it became a popular community request. I've been having a lot of fun putting this one together, feels like a whole new game. I hope you enjoy it. [h3]I've developed a new character creation system using morph targets, so now facial features can be modified, also 18 new beards, 27 hairstyles, 8 eye colors, 19 hair colors. Existing saves will all work fine, although your character's facial features, beard, hair, skin color, and eye color will be randomized. I've also added a new item - the DIY plastic surgery kit which can be crafted, looted, or purchased from certain vendors. This kit will allow you to change all aspects of your character (even gender and skin color,) except hair and beard style/color, which can be changed with the hair cut/ hair dye kit respectively. Some of your follower's equipment may be upgraded to your current caravan's armor class, but there shouldn't be any issues loading old saves.[/h3] New particle effects have been added such as large explosions, new bloodstain system, new spark effect on mech damage/kill, and more. Imps are now harder to kill, they now have about 60-70% chance to evade an attack (and possibly counter attack.) Not all attacks can be dodged, but I'll let you find out what works. New clothing physics have been added to trenchcoats and labcoats, cloth physics will stop on entering a vehicle (except motorcycle type vehicles for now, a little buggy but pretty cool) AI has received a major overhaul, perception issues have been fixed, enemies can now properly navigate to vehicles, followers will no longer randomly switch crouch/aim, Followers will no longer shoot through vehicles to hit enemies, enemeis will hunt down players, and tons more. Ranged and melee combat have both been updated, followers are much more useful as combatants and combat just feels much cleaner and more exciting. Massive enemies have been updated, new models for Mechs, Titans, and Horrors as well as new combat code and tighter Combat AI. The new Titan combat code makes some changes to the flow of combat, Titans will no longer rain down lightning on players, the lightning attack was way too accurate at range, making combat nearly impossible for more than 1 titan at a time. I've added a new heavy overhead attack that can be used by holding down the attack button. it does extra damage and applies extra force at the cost of extra stamina and extra durability. This is just one of the many new animations added. There's lots of changes and new content, the following changelog should cover most of them. Keep in mind that you can hide the HUD for screenshots! Also resets the v-sync off and on when the game is paused/players enter a colony/p2 drops in (probably temporary, will test further) -Replacing vehicle parts is no longer limited by item durability -Trailer load type and amount is now displayed above trailer health when connected to your vehicle -Fixed various typos -Slightly faster base stamina charge -certain props no longer explode on destruction, but summon enemies -should no longer load player vehicles on rooftops on load game -Random events are slightly more common -More detailed instructions on how to start vehicle -Added entry location indicator to Archangel -fixed rare footsteps after death bug -Closing Caravan menu now hides mouse properly -Adjusted weapon location in the hand -Fixed occupied trailer turret control and direction issues -New spider materials for better visibility at night -smaller hit indicator on receiving damage -better chance of spawning building enemies -Loading a game will now remove any nearby buildings/enemies to prevent instant death loop or vehicles stuck in buildings on load -turning radio audio all the way down now properly disbles the radio and prevents radio songs from playing at all -Slight decrease to fuel consumption -Fixed gap between smoke and fire damage stages on vehicles -removed dumbbell from standard new NPC weapons (will still load saved weapon) -New variants for follower armor classes -Reduced damage of 9mm machine pistol -Fixed pump controls getting physics from explosion, now should be destroyed properly -Water kill volume now affects bandits -Moved distant landmasses further away from the playable area -Added hats to clothing store -Titan and Dragon have more health -Fixed lab barriers location in containment area -Keyboard and mouse can now be used to close the daily income screen -Dragon now only has a chance of teleporting on receiving damage with low health -entities getting up from ragdoll should now do so at theo proper height -stopped multiple zombie loot spawns if stuck under vehicle -Quicker item use delay, delay affected by endurance -NPCs/all enemies now properly approach vehicles to attack -Passenger aim fix -prevent charisma load game loop exploit -Fire effects can only jump to one other actor, fixing the performance hit with large crowds on fire [h3]There is still more content coming, the weapon/vehicle overhaul will be next focusing on models as well as turrets and weapons. There are also some community suggestions I have planned that haven't made it in yet mainly due to time constraints.
