In last week's news announcement, we talked about deployable turrets. Now these powerful tactical tools have arrived in the game. To use Deployable Turrets, you can open the Bridge console at the top left of the screen, click on the Father icon and select the Turret from the menu that appears, or simply press 'R' and the Turret Deployment tool will open. Here you can deploy turrets within the area indicated by the green circle. Below the turret icon is the cost of the deployable turret you have selected. When you deploy the turret into space, this cost will be deducted from your resources.
You can use different turret models
You can also choose which 'mini-turret' model you want to use to build a deployable turret in The Father's configuration screen. You can do this by dropping the mini-turrets in your cargo onto the Deployable Turret box, or by left-clicking on one of the mini-turrets you used on The Father. You will notice that each turret has a different cost. Obviously, more powerful turrets will cost more.
Deployable Turrets are not indestructible
Deployable turrets can be damaged and destroyed by enemy fire and by impacts from hovering asteroids. Therefore, we recommend that you think strategically when placing them. Each turret has 500 bullets in its cartridge, and you should also bear in mind that it cannot fire any more once it runs out of bullets. It is not possible to collect these turrets or replenish their ammunition. However, when officers come into the equation in the future, we will find that some officers have abilities such as collecting turrets from space or replenishing ammunition. Let's keep this information a secret for now :)
BATTLE REPORT
Now, when you leave the conflict map, you will be presented with a report screen showing your performance during the conflict. This screen is still in the early stages of development, but you can currently view important statistics. These include the number of enemy ships you have destroyed, the number of asteroids or other objects you have scanned, the number of fighters you have lost, and the amount of ammunition you have used. A new way to make money You can also earn a small amount of money by selling information to local mining companies about the asteroids you scanned on the conflict map that were still intact when you left the map. Keep this in mind...
