Uagi Update, We Have Released

For the most part it was a smooth release but Uagi is still far from being finished. I already have had a lot of new feedback since and new changes are already being implemented. A head sup, when new patches go up there is a chance certain part of save files become lost or changed. I will have multiple branches so players can choose to update to a new build when they are ready to do so. Being in Early Access these kinds of things are expected and I know losing game saves can be frustrating. I will do my best to make patches as smooth as possible and as developement progresses small patches will come less often. I have made a list of things I and other players have already found that I will be fixing for the next patch. List below. [b] A Few Changes Made Before Release[/b] -Added new artwork for eggs, eggs now also have skins. -Fixed issue with intro music not looping. -Added sound effects for clicking on lanterns and crystals. -Both QWERTY and AZERTY controls and settings should work properly now. [b]Problems Already Noted[/b] -Game Crash involving interact objects, found that they were not being properly destroyed when moving the camera with the middle mouse button. Resulting an invisible clickable object that will crash the game. This has been fixed and will be in the next hotfix patch. To avoid this refrain from using middle mouse to move camera until patch is made. -Tutorial boxes dissapear way too quickly, player does not get enough time to read full way through. -Odd to have exit button on left side in HUB screen, may move this to the right side. -Wild mystic rooms are too easy to find, I will be changing this. -Egg health text can be hard to read, will be changing this and adding new custom colors. -The mini map icons honestly are a complete mess, I really need to figure out a new way of doing these as glowing balls of different colors could cause problems with people who have color blindness etc. They are confusing and hard to understand, I will be working on changing this soon. Any suggestions are welcome. -There are still things in Uagi that need to be better explained, good temp range, where water pumps can be built etc. Want to remove these confusing moments for the player. [b]The Future Of Uagi In Early Access[/b] Now that we have released into EA I can breathe a little again and start getting back to making Uagi even better. The main focus in EA will be adding an end game and a mystic skill system that will lead to that very moment. Besides that I want to build on what I already have, I have some great new ideas that are in the works thanks to player feedback. [b]The Next Month Or So[/b] -New room types, backgrounds, borders and biomes. -Mystic Traits, a chance that some mystics may be born with special traits, changing their eating habits, boosting stats and causing mutations. -New body parts, parts that include fur and feathurs. Mutations based off the enviroment and local temps. -Skill system, teach mystics skills the same way you would words. Use these skills to repair, translate and smash bigger rocks. The repair skill is implemented but currently turned off until I get broken computers working. -New stats, Strength,Wisdom and the already implemented Intelligence stat. Stats will effect what skills a mystic can learn. -Broken Computers -Gene Pool Screen, in-game but not selectable yet. Player will be able to look through all available genes for mystic body parts. This will be unlocked through an achievement. G9T4B-WW58Y-YM4EZ -Achievements Screen, in-game but not selectable yet. In game achiements that reward the player with new egg skins, body parts and resourse boosts. -First couple of achievements will be in the next patch.
