Thank you all for the support and feedback over the past month and a half! This update addresses a lot of feedback, cleans up a lot of jank, and of course adds new content! Cloud Saving is now also available!
[b]New Content and Features:[/b]
Style Grade system
Complete a new storyline with the shopkeeper to unlock a system to grade your style!
Maintain higher grades to gain benefits for your hosts (move speed, damage, juice regen)
[b]New GOLEM Upgrades[/b]
Added "Haste" (creates explosion when swapping into host)
Added "Scorn" (create a temporary damage field between old and new hosts)
Added "Doubt" (swap back into old hosts during post-swap confusion to refund previous swap)
Replaced Myopia with "Hyperopia" (increases upgrade rarity, but never generates upgrades with the same type as the current host)
Removed Indulgence juice regen penalty
Hubris now doubles post-mortem swap cost instead of decreasing host HP
Obsession now changes all upgrades to a random host type instead of current host type
Euphoria slowdown now only affects enemies
[b]Fitness Gym[/b]
Practice a variety of trickshots to improve your skills
[b]Tachi Updates[/b]
Cancelling kill mode now reduces cooldown by 1 second instead of 2
Stabbing enemies now reduces CWBIDBSC cooldown by 0.75 seconds
Spinlock Meditation now increases cooldown reduction when stabbing enemies instead of decreasing base cooldown
Cancelling kill mode without using a CWBIDBSC gives a reduced cooldown depending on kill mode duration
Added a small fitness bonus for comboing CWBIDBSC kills
Added a new sound effect to indicate when kill mode cooldown is over
True Focus will now also target impaled fitness jammers
[b]Collider Updates[/b]
Tackling projectiles now adds them to your orbit
Player-controlled colliders are immune to tar while tackling
Killing enemies with a tackle now awards x2 scrap and a BODIED trickshot
Secondary fire while retaliating now performs a mini-tackle that transitions fluidly back into retaliating (retaliation can now be buffered by holding primary fire)
Tackle cooldown now decreases faster while retaliating
Added recoil when retaliating
[b]New/updated upgrades[/b]
Added radical Collider upgrade “Entanglement”: +33% chance to shoot an additional projectile when a projectile is shot, -25% damage per extra shot
Reduced Spaghettification rarity to radical (as counterpart to Entanglement)
Added radical Collider upgrade “Decay”: Automatically fire +1 projectile per second at nearby enemies
Added breakthrough Collider upgrade “Beeftank Doctrine”: you’ll see :)
Added breakthrough Router upgrade “Perforated Envelope”: grenades fragment into +3 pieces on impact
Finesse now increases juggle combo cap and causes enemies launched after 3 or more juggles to explode
Careful Packing now extends grenade explosion timers by 0.1 seconds per stack
[b]Adjustments[/b]
Added Exit markers when clearing a level (can be turned off in the gameplay options)
Fitness Jammers now explode after being destroyed and play a sound effect
Added new sound effects for fishing to better capture the angling experience
Added new “run completed” sound when returning to Ash Grove 6
Adjusted certain doors in floors where a softlock could occur
Adjusted Press Rack placement to avoid quantum entanglement
Removed the Doors in the CPU Arena
Added Careful Packing synergy with Shaped Charges to effects description
Turrets can now be impaled by Tachi sabers, grappled, and emit sparks when attacked
The last remaining Heap orb will now revive itself after a few seconds to prevent softlocking
[b]Bug Fixes[/b]
Fixed an issue where the upgrade selector was affecting the music volume
Fixed a bug where Heap Orbs would count as extra boss kills
Fixed a bug where dying as a Heap Orb would spawn the MITE out of bounds
Fixed a bug where the CPU could be pulled out of its arena with Yorikiri
Fixed an issue where the Bluescreen skin needed more kills than intended to unlock (now 8 as on the requirements text)
Fixed some issues with shop affordability not updating
Fixed an issue where the player could start a run while in conversation with Cuckoo
Fixed some issues with the starting host in Perimeter Defense not having AI
Harpoon tip no longer interacts with Heap Orbs
Fixed an issue with the MITE not updating the Variety multiplier
Fitness gain now can start immediately after beginning a run
Local Juice no longer regenerates when on the upgrade screen in combat
Fixed an issue where the Tachi time slow would not end correctly
Fixed an issue with rebinding the Eject key
Fixed certain audio not being on the correct bus
Fixed some visual layering issues
Decreased likelihood of True Focus clipping you out of bounds
Fixed an issue where True Focus sometimes couldn’t detect valid targets
Swapping out of a Tachi after starting a CWBIDBSC no longer causes the attack to miss
Fixed burning tar sometimes applying slowness for longer than intended
Alternative Coolant self-damage now bypasses post-swap invincibility
Reduced size of Alternative Coolant explosion when at extreme heat levels
