Post-Anniversary Update!

PERISH

PERISH is a stylish 1-4 player FPS with a cross to bear. Slay hordes of creatures on the black sands of Purgatory and sell their gold-stained corpses to craven priests. Kill magnificent bosses and use the proceeds to gain entrance to Elysium, a place of cosmic revelations.

As it was written in Homer's Odyssey: etos ilthe periplomenon eniauton, or: "as the year rolled on, the anniversary came". And so here we are, just over 1 year into the release of PERISH! How did that happen so quickly? We've shared the ups and downs with you, dear player, as we all shared in dying and dying again to reach the vaulted halls of Elysium, only to be unceremoniously chucked into a fiery lake of punishment by the harsh strictures of King Minos himself. By this point, it's only fair that we take King Minos down a peg or two. As a small gesture of thanks to the thousands of you who have played our labor of love and suffered its manifold trials, we have released this kriton of the underworld as a playable character. Judge not lest ye be judged yourself, Mr. Minos. Perhaps more importantly, PERISH is now officially on consoles! PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S. Controller-dwellers need fear no shame, neither of keyboard nor mouse, as they join the frayed journey towards the judgment of King Minos. Elsewise, it might seem a tad quiet here at PERISH HQ - after years of development and another five or so months creating the free Exodus DLC, we've had a bit of a break to restock our dwindled supplies of nectar and ambrosia. Freshly immortalized for the year ahead, I can only offer a nebulous "Keep your eyes peeled!" , but we have still had our ears rotated towards some pressing bugs and issues that we simply could not ignore going into 2024:

Damn those Kavouraki! These cheeky chitinous tanks have had their health somewhat reduced so that they are less bullet-spongey (still, beware of their impervious armor)
Where's the music? A significant number of players reported that the idryma safe zone music was playing throughout the game instead of the soundtrack for each level; we may have identified a potential fix for this issue and we'd like your help in checking this fix out in the latest build, if you could confirm this for us we'd appreciate it enormously!
Curse these metal hands! Lightning Acolytes are reduced in number during the Aiakos of the Belfry boss fight after we read various reports that their spawning frequency was utterly infuriating: they are not banished entirely though, so still watch out for those red beams
The Emperor's New Pyrius: The Pyrius Grenade Launcher model was invisible in the rotating chest of goodies; it is now, accordingly, not-so-invisible anymore
Once again, we want to thank you, the player: without you, PERISH would not be the delight and the joy that it is for us today thanks to your input and feedback. Please keep the feedback coming because we're here to keep the tweaks and balances rolling in. Cheers! Full Patch Notes:

Music should no longer get stuck on the idryma track
Pyrius Launcher and Aegis Shield are no longer invisible in the armaments chest
Kavouraki now have 25% less health
Reduced amount of Lightning Acolytes that can spawn in Aiakos of the Belfry fight
Fixed Pyrius Launcher ADS location
Added new main menu background rotation
Fixed Tartaros spawn director issues when the player count changes during the final battle
