Several major changes have been made that will refresh the experience for those of you who have already tested it out. Read on to learn about all the awesomeness! This update sets the stage for the FULL DEMO RELEASE, as the mechanics are now all in the game. With your help and feedback, the demo should be ready in the coming months. [h3]Here’s what Playtest Update #4 includes[/h3] • CHANGE: Playable/recruitable characters are now BIG! This change was made to achieve some balance and vibe goals I have in mind for the direction of the game. • CHANGE: I added some flavor to Blutters based on an overwhelming response to a Reddit post I made regarding his accessories. • CHANGE: The base has changed size/shape again, and base expansion has been added! • CHANGE: Waves have been rebalanced • NEW: Healing potions have been added as a loot/craftable item. You’ll need berries to make them. • NEW: Berry bushes have been. Get harvesting! • NEW: There’s now a door blocking access to your base! This has been added to address an issue where players may accidentally reset their levels by wandering too close to the safe zone. • NEW: Added an informational panel to the Quest Tray that will tell you who a quest is for as well as what the rewards are when a quest is focused in the quest tray. • NEW: Added a pointer to the base when you are out in a round so that it’s harder to get lost. • NEW: Added a hint display beneath your current level panel, giving small hints for play • NEW: Infinite world wrapping has been implemented • New: World chunk system now allows nodes to refresh once you get far enough away. No more save/quit/reload to get your items. • NEW: Pointers to unrecruited characters have been added to help point you in the right direction when you’re close enough to them. • BUG FIX: Fixed an issue where you could click the Save Game button while not in a safe zone. • BUG FIX: Unlocked items should no longer reset when loading a game, so you won’t see popups for materials you’ve already unlocked. • BUG FIX: Quest Reward popups should now show the proper icons • BUG FIX: Fixed some problems with Quest Tray input • BUG FIX: Fixed quests and their associated dialogue so they actually make sense together [h3]Here are the still existing bugs I know about:[/h3] • Characters look jittery in certain circumstances • Character chatter stops playing on certain devices (SteamDeck) mid-conversation [h1]Thank you again![/h1] Keep the bug reports and suggestions coming, and I’ll be sure to get you more and more updates until we’re gotten everything important into the game.
