The Dark Horde is a roguelike deckbuilder where you control the flow of time by playing cards! Summon a horde of minions at your command, harvest the Souls of fallen enemies and send your disposable Goblin Looters on the Battlefield to seize precious Gold. Lay waste and enjoy being Evil!
Aspiring Dark Mages, this is the first patch for The Dark Horde! I will list below all the medium/small changes in the game and the fixes to bugs found during its first week. All these were simple changes requested by players. There are a couple things that will require more effort, the Card Library being of top of the Most Request features. It will be there. Just not "soon".
π οΈ [b]NEW FEATURES[/b] π οΈ
- Card Rerolls: the cards found in a booster can now be rerolled at the cost of 1 Dark Gem.
- Pause Button: a button to access pause menus have been added to the Main Menu, the Shop and the Round scenes.
- Miracle Rerolls: now rerolled miracles are saved and not reverted to the original Miracle(s) if you retry the Round.
- Restart Options: now you can Restart a Round anytime from the pause menu. And the option the retry the Round will be offered in the recap screen even if you were victorious, in case you think you can do better.
- Rulebook: the Rulebook now provides information about Devotion mechanic, Sacrifice mechanic and how bonus Dark Gems are awarded.
βοΈ [b]GAME BALANCE[/b] βοΈ
- Action Buttons Upgrade: are now available from level 1 in the shop.
- Miracle Progression: the rule that randomize Miracles has changed. Now at level 4 and level 8 the most complex Miracles will be secretly unlocked for randomization. Basically this means that new player will not find complex Miracles like High Priestess, The Moon, The Sun or The Hanged Man.
- Raze and Swiftness bonus increased: now you will gain more Dark Gems at higher Rounds if you manage to destroy the Village and when you do that in the very first day of a Round.
- Orcish Barrage: the Orc Archers will now spawn after 8 TUs rather than 4.
π [b]GAME READABILITY[/b] π
- Warnings Text: the size of the Warning Messages have been increased, mostly to accomodate Steamdeck players.
- Boon Tooltip: now you can mouse over Boon upgrades you purchased to have the information about their effect.
- Boss Preview: at the beginning of Rounds 9 and 15 of a Deck run you will receive the information of which boss you are going to face.

- New Time Unit icon: the icon for Time Units have changed.
- New Domain Boosters Cost icon: a small "+" in the icon should now make it clear that boosters cost 3 gold and 3 common souls.
π [b]BUGS[/b] π
- Iconoclasm: solved a bug that caused discarded Miracles to calculate the unleash countdown incorrectly.
- Slow Motion: fixed a bug that made time run inconsistently in some occasions at the end of a Round.
- Chosen Harbinger: fixed the spawn point of its magic missiles.
- Blood Skulls: the information about how many Blood Skulls you collected will be correctly shown in the Main Manu.
- Overlapping Loading in Menu: you can no longer go back to the Files Selection Menu and launch a run at the same time if you are quick enough.
- Minor typos: typos have been fixed here and there (Titan on Attack no longer has Stun, the Fear ability tooltip is fixed, ...)
