Hi, everyone!
We have added some new building parts and functionality to the building mode this past few weeks and wanted to share these updates with you.

Here is a video demonstrating the use of new modules and how to construct more advanced buildings than we showed previously, in case you haven’t checked it already on our YouTube or Discord channels.

The new building parts include:

Triangle foundations and floors. They are based on equilateral triangles with 2-meter sides and can be combined together with square foundations to create quite complicated shapes. We’ve added two levels for them: a wooden one for village houses and a stone one for city houses and other advanced buildings.

Two new types of roofs. We added 45° roof modules and corresponding wall modules to support them which can be used to create most types of roofs for city houses, as well as 60° modules, which are the most useful for towers and other roofs that benefit from having a steep incline.

Balconies, awnings, and columns. These parts can be used when creating multi-floor houses and making different types of porches and patios.

Stair modules. We’ve added new parts for wooden and stone stairs that are sturdier than previous ones and can be combined together to build large staircases.

Double doors and large windows. Previously we had parts for single doors and standard windows, so we decided to add a new wall module that supports double doors, and also the ability to install large windows on short walls (which can be quite useful for creating greenhouses, bay windows, etc).

Fences and decorations. We also added iron fence modules and various types of decorations that you can use to improve the looks of houses that you build: flower pots and beds, statues, and a fountain.
Another new addition is the ability to select the material, color, and style of building parts. For example, you can choose between different types of stone, brick, and wood for stone wall elements, apply custom colors to them, and select the pattern you prefer. Materials, colors, and styles can be changed anytime both on new parts that you plan to place or already existing ones. There are also tools to automatically apply the selected style and colors to all adjacent parts of the same type, so you will be able to easily change the looks of the whole room or even the full house.

Styles are supported by most of the building modules (walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, windows, doors, etc) and furniture (tables, beds, chairs, and others). We’ve already added several types for each category (8 for walls, 4 for windows, 3 for doors, from 2 to 5 for various furniture pieces) and plan to continue increasing the variety in the future too.
In this article and the video we focused mostly on the exterior parts, but we are already preparing a second part that will feature making interiors and putting different workshops inside the building that we’ve built.
Thank you a lot for checking out this part of our development blog!
