After polishing Green Again’s demo with a QoL update in September, it’s time to work on the next major update. In this month’s wrap-up, Máté, our solo dev of Green Again, will be sharing with us the next steps for our game! Let’s see what he has in store! [b]Hey Máté! Mind sharing with us what you are working on right now?[/b] Máté: Of course! I’ve been doing a lot of work with buildings – they are getting health bars, and they will be damageable and repairable! That also means Sproutlings will have more work to do, as they will be responsible for the repairs. I’ll be expanding their AI to make sure the Sproutlings do their job properly. [b]That’s exciting! Sounds like it will open up new interactions with buildings in Green Again.[/b] Máté: Exactly. There are different ideas right now on how to play with this upcoming feature, including natural disasters and enemies that can deal damage to buildings. The buildings could even be fully destroyed and rebuilt… So many possibilities! [b]I heard you are also working on a new biome for the next major update. Without spoiling everyone, what can you tell us about it?[/b] Máté: All I can say is it’s called the Forge Zone, and will contain more industrial elements. There’s a more elaborate tech tree system in the works too. [i]A new map AND a tech tree?[/i] Looks like we have quite a lot of content approaching on the horizon.
