Hey again, Sproutling fans! It's the end of August already...where has the year gone! We've got a bit of a different monthly wrap up for you for August - we're sharing some updates from Máté, Green Again's incredible solo dev, about what he's working on currently for the game, including a couple of hints at what's to come...shall we dive in? [b]Hey Máté! I know you're working on a QoL update for Green Again, can you share any more about what you're currently looking into?[/b] Máté: Hey! Sure I can. Right now, my main focus has been working on optimizing code so the game can handle big settlements and lots of sproutlings at a significantly higher frame rate. The improvements help reduce the CPU load so Green Again should be more enjoyable even on lower spec PCs! [b]That's great news, is there anything else you're working on for optimisation? [/b] Máté: Actually yes, the community have reported that starting the game and returning to the main menu with lots of save files can slow it down quite a bit, so I'm working on making that a priority to solve in the next update, too. [b]Awesome, can you give us any hints at any new features that we might be seeing soon?[/b] Máté: Well, actually...I'm currenttly working on an overhaul of the blueprint and building system, but I'm not saying too much about that just yet! Hmm, very mysterious...we wonder what those new overhauls will look like! Aside from the answers above, we've also got some general QoL and bug fixes coming in the next update which will both make the game a little smoother for you all, as well as creating a strong foundation for future updates to roll out.
