Defeat hellish monsters and rebuild your home in Pyrene, a fast paced roguelike dungeon-crawler. Play with different heroes & spells, collect powerful relics to upgrade your deck while uncovering the mysteries behind your village’s destruction.
For a while now, the main feedback we’ve been receiving from players is that they didn’t expect Pyrene to be *this* much fun. It is time for us to explain why Pyrene stands out and is in a league of its own!
The variety of objectives
Pyrene doesn't just rely on you surviving the furthest you can in a run - you also have to get your village back on its feet, unlocking new features in different biomes, characters, powers…
Increasing difficulty
When you launch a roguelike for the first time, you might feel frustrated about the immediate high-level difficulty at the start. What makes roguelikes fun is figuring out how to outsmart the game and finding your preferred playstyle and strategies to make it easier. In Pyrene, you’ll start with a "lower" difficulty, and you can even make the game easier if you feel overwhelmed. The more you progress into the zones and biomes and defeat bosses, the more difficult the game becomes.
Environmental effects will add up, creatures will become stronger with trickier passive effects, organizing your deck will become crucial…
A puzzle-like fighting style
When you enter a danger zone, it's like a puzzle you have to solve. You’ll need to plan your moves - as you cannot go backward - continuously check your HP, use your special powers carefully, paying attention to the environmental conditions… And the “Spending the Night” mechanic also has pros and cons, so it’s more complex than slaying the monsters and moving on!
