Imagine Lifetimes - Deadly Edition Devlog

Imagine Lifetimes

Satirical, short and simple point-and-click "simulation" game about the meaninglessness of life.

What's up Steam, You might be wondering... why is the final release of Imagine Lifetimes named the 'Deadly Edition'? ( TLDR: see this self-explanatory GIF for #screenshotsaturday ) For those of you who have been following the game's developments, you know that Imagine Lifetimes as a life-simulator, has always been inherently deadly. "The inevitability of death." is one of the game's main themes. If you are new to Imagine Lifetimes and this is your first time reading up on it, don't fret! All this deadliness is delivered with a healthy dose of satire: a comical approach along the lines of sarcasm, irony and exaggeration. :-) For example, you might end up unexpectedly turning into a pile of dust like so: Now that particular ending is a literal death, some of you might have already been struck by this one in the 'Early Edition' last year. (let 'em rest in peace) Even though I've got a handful of brutal and savage literal endings in store for you, guess what I'm even more excited about? Yes, it's metaphorical deaths! It's these not-so-literal endings that deliver the real philosophical kicker: Great metaphors leave your head spinning like a load of laundry in a washing machine. It may take some time for their deeper meaning to sink in, but when it finally does... you've got... a pair of clean socks? ... Speaking of clean socks, you can wishlist Imagine Lifetimes here on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1229570/Imagine_Lifetimes/ Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a couple of deadly endings to implement! Thank you so much for following along, it means a lot. <3 -Frycandle
