Go-Go Town! Developer Update – 30th August

Go-Go Town!

Plan, Build...Prosper? As mayor, it’s up to you to breathe life back into this rundown town. Construct shops, hire staff, automate deliveries with couriers, and attract tourists to town, all while managing infrastructure and avoiding catastrophes! Who said being mayor was going to be easy…

Hi all, I am BACK! And ready to dive into this week’s update. Preview Branch – Player Feedback Pack We released Major Update 1, the ‘Player Feedback Pack’ into our Preview Branch. It’s already generating a lot of chatter on our Discord server, which we are super excited to see. We’ve also got some great feedback and some bug reports, which we’ll be working through. Depending on how the feedback goes, we’ll be looking to move this into main sometime in the next week or two (week of Sept 2nd or Sept 9th). However, if you can’t wait you can always join in the early preview branch by following the steps here: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2195120/view/4355629296424398812 I won’t post any images this week, as I do not want to spoil the update for everyone. But what I can say is it is BIGGGG! And I think you’ll be super excited once it lands. Gamescom It’s always a busy week at Gamescom! The events start before the show, and somehow keep going even after it has officially wrapped up – Needless to say, I am a tired (and jetlagged) sloth this week. Gamescom is always a great opportunity to meet up with amazing developers, as well as players! I had a wonderful time meeting so many of you at the show, and hearing about how some of you read all our updates! It made me happy to hear that these are useful. Also! For those who might have missed the news, we had two jailbreak codes for Gamescom. One we posted on Twitter/X and one we gave out at the booth. It now appears both codes are in circulation, so I want to share them here as well:
IAB CURSED
I’m still catching up on all the updates, sleep, and laundry, so this week is a short one from me 😊 What I can say is next week is going to be a busy week; I’ll be catching up with the team and start mapping out what the next few updates will look like. I’ll be responding to comments/feedback in the forums, and I’ll also be working with the team to coordinate some much-needed holiday time. The team put in so much effort over the past couple of months, and really put a lot into this first major update! So, we want to make sure creative batteries are recharged, as we still have a lot more to accomplish during Early Access. Thank you all for being amazing, and I’ll catch you next week with a bigger update! -Cheryl
