Full Gear v2.0: "Half Moon"

Full Gear

Fight and engineer your way through a steampunk dungeon in this traditional roguelike. Build Drones to gain additional firepower, use Wheel Tokens to time your attacks, and learn from the past as you go. Are you better than the machines?

I've seen it over and over. People really die in the stupidest ways. Fireball at close range. Poison Blood on yourself. Summon Reaper without weaponry. But I'm not like them. I know what I'm doing. I have everything I need, right here. And yet... ...someone keeps telling me that I, too, will meet a similar fate.
The Moon Rises
Welcome to Full Gear v2.0! The first major update brings a new character: the Artificer! A quick and incomplete overview of what she brings to the mechanical table:

Energy! Be sure to never drop to zero...
Spells, to imbue in any of your Equipment
A new and independent story of her Fate
Over 100 pieces of equipment
Unique Setups, Gadgets and Wheel Tokens
Some new Utilities to suit her playstyle
Counters and Fated status effects
And, of course, a regular and true ending.
It's worth noting that this update is completely free, and will continue to be improved with additional gear, item sets, enemies, and QOL. However, due to its independent nature, think of it more of a DLC than an update. You can enable Half Moon in the Base - there's a large purple symbol that should be obvious enough.
Future Gear
The plan is to keep working on Full Gear at least until March 1st 2024, when it will be exactly a year old. Until then, there's plenty of options!

Half Moon improvements: big sprites, boss log, animations, items, Reapers?
More seasonal events: autumn, winter, spring, etc
A ninth area
A secret final boss, perhaps even.
May Gyranus look down to you. Older saved runs will be deleted automatically. Added: Liz, the Artificer! Everything in this section is exclusive to her playstyle. She's designed around players already knowing the game, so it's not exactly recommended to start with her immediately! She appears once you've beaten all bosses at least once, or always in Traditional Mode. Added: Energy! Be sure to spend it well, you'll die real fast if you run out... Added: 19 items in each of the 6 all-new categories equipment, plus a bonus 6 Boss items Added: 18 new tags mixed with all these items (and a few returning tags, of course) Added: 6 new Full Gear tags, if you're ready to complete your build Added: 18 new Gadgets to play around with. And no more cooldowns! Added: 5 Setups and 5 corresponding Traps, aim for the feet Added: 6 new Tokens (alongside 4 known ones), and who knows what the Obsidian Sawblade makes Added: 10 Spells, with unique and known capabilities! Put them on your items to gain more power. Added: five new utilities. These all replace regular utilities. The Enchanter, putting Spells onto equipment The Spellfreezer, a way to get rid of Curse with Titanium items The Recasting Wires, turning Spells into Drone Parts The Adjustor, turning Scrap into Spells The Thrasher, a sink for spare Spells Added: 4 new status effects, with Fated being the centerpiece Added: 1 new piece of Food... quite hard to find. Added: many new conversations and lore pieces to discover what Liz has been up to Added: a new regular ending... and a new true ending. Buffed: Liz gains slightly more items from enemies Nerfed: Liz generates with slightly less chests and ground items Changed: Bells no longer mark nearby enemies, but instead grant Recharging Changed: Bells of Calling, instead of giving Drones Alert, give enemies "Overcharged" Changed: loot from NPC's has been reshuffled Changed: Cursing Traps are now Bell Traps Changed: the chest in the Aerospaces now only gives an Air Spell Changed: Quest gadgets no longer have a cooldown, but instead work on Energy Changed: the Watchmaker quest is now different, and Kind Regards are no longer available Changed: challenge "Broken Wrenches" now also makes spells worse Removed: Toolboxes and Hats are currently unavailable for Liz. Apologies for the hatlessness. It's worth noting that Liz uses some shared pools: in Modern Mode, any parts/guns/bombs not unlocked will not show up for Liz either. She will get personal Goals later on (locking some currently free items), but for now, any Goal can be done on either character. There's also 10 new achievements you can only earn with her, so have fun with those.
Important Features
Added: Windowed Mode! I finally found a workaround for the darkness layer breaking. Added: some helpful control visuals for inventory management. It's really not that confusing, just hold Shift all the time. Changed: the Modernizer now always exists, and can switch from Modern to Traditional Mode. Changed: the player healthbar is now smoooooth. Changed: the Full Gear prompt now appears after 5 (instead of 9) runs and beating any boss.
Balancing
Buffed: Crushers now spawn twice per Forge instead of only once Buffed: Rusty Nailgun's Drone healing 5 -> 10 Buffed: Slasher's Malus Defense turns 6+2L -> 10+2L Buffed: Zapbot's Stun turns 2 -> 3 Buffed: Wetlanders are much more likely to Stun/flee at higher levels Buffed: Assassin's Blind/Disconnect turns 3+L -> 4+L Buffed: Half-Evoker's HP 18 -> 24, Defense 3 -> 4 Nerfed: Current's Eye's Sawwheel attack deals always 1 less damage Nerfed: Brilliant Gloom's beam attack is no longer Piercing Changed: a few Full Gear tags now have additional requirements. For example, "Deadline" will block getting Widget Wielder. Changed: Sensor Drone Parts are now rarer compared to the other types. Changed: as its Level 3+ bonus, the Thermal Quadron (instead of spamming Whirlwind) now applies Fire on every attack.
QOL
There's a lot of visuals reminding you what items are affecting your surroundings, so I decided to add some more!
