Full Gear v1.2: "Intricacy"

Full Gear

Fight and engineer your way through a steampunk dungeon in this traditional roguelike. Build Drones to gain additional firepower, use Wheel Tokens to time your attacks, and learn from the past as you go. Are you better than the machines?

"Another delivery?" This time, it's for you. I put the disk on the ground. Saws, blades, more snake parts. You ordered this, right? "I did. Well, they did. I'll send the contents to them in a minute." The utilities have been installed, by the way. I should just let the Lead Engineers do it next time. "Good. Do you... want something? For effort? Or-" I upgrade things. It's important. If I stop, you'll die. "...not sure what you mean." It doesn't matter. I'm going home. They'll figure it out. They always do.
Hello, adventurers!
It's version 1.2 of Full Gear and it's full of... things! And stuff! And OH GOD WHAT THE HELL IS THAT- You might have noticed that I slowly started adding full-scale sprites of equipment. Well, they're all done now! Anything you equip will look nice and shiny in your inventory. Really adds a layer to making weird builds that nobody is looking forward to. Believe me, the more I look at the goggles, the more I think I made a mistake. The second big thing is minibosses! Don't worry, you won't have to deal with them right away. Minibosses start spawning after you beat the second boss, but don't scale at all. They keep up the tension, can jumpscare you in vulnerable moments, and have all kinds of creepy moves to finish you off. I added them because I noticed that there's a sort of dead time between the second and fourth boss - things really start scaling quickly in your fifth area, so by that time they should be a breeze to knock down. And lastly, there's three new utilities to be found! They can appear in any area for now, and can be quite situational. Be sure to check them out, especially on your weaker runs, as free Shield, endless Marks, or Armed with Corruption can be devastating for enemies. The game just keeps on improving! Better-to-understand quests, a save function, well-balanced items, and a lot of QoL. But what to add next... ...if only we could see the future. Isn't that right, Liz? See you around.
Changelog

v1.2: Intricacy
Added: All big inventory sprites are done! Enjoy the fashion show. Added: six Minibosses!

Minibosses are always Called, appear after beating two bosses in a run, and have multiple dangerous abilities. For example, turning nearby enemies Wrathed, Blinding then fleeing, or inflicting long-lasting Defenseless.
They cannot be Executed, but count as bosses for some purposes, don't scale, and feel fear.
They always drop a Plasma drone part when killed, but it could be a little difficult to actually achieve that...
Added: the Conservation Machine! It grants some Shield in a pinch. Added: the Built In Bell!! Call and Mark nearby enemies whenever needed. Added: the Botbox! Get Armed with Corruption... Added: ten new Achievements! Nine for completing Challenges with an additional requirement, one for the tedious task of completing the Boss Log. If you've already completed the log, be sure to claim it. Removed: Protection no longer removes shield upon regenerating. There was no real point in that. Buffed: "No More" Alert, 3 turns every 30 turns -> 5 turns every 20 turns Buffed: "Keep It Steady" Blessed turns 1 -> 3 Buffed: Widget Wielder now also gives Armed with Corruption Changed: Ruby Gemstone now has "Armed effects are retained until you beat any Boss."

It always felt like the black (red?) sheep of the family. Gadgets were very rarely better if they didn't take a turn.
Now, it has a different purpose: stacking buffs. Maybe save them all for the final boss!
To clarify, Armed buffs tick down until they're at 1 turn, at which point they stagnate. Then, killing a Boss removes all Armed buffs.
Changed: Miner's Pickaxe now has "Enemies dropping Scrap drop Sharp Setups instead."

Miner's Pickaxe barely did anything as most Setups spawn at level generation.
It still needs to give more access to them, and Miner's Powders occupies chests already, so this is a good alternative.
Affects regular Scrap drops (+ the Scrapping tag), the Profit token, and Wrathed enemies.
Changed: Widget Wielder's buffs are now Neutral, so Armed with Corruption still works Changed: "This may take a bit" message no longer appears if you're overwriting a save (which takes shorter) Fixed: audio could soften over time Fixed: attack animation would randomly start playing (fixed for real this time, I swear) Fixed: Stirring Batteries would not work on Anti-Stunned and Anti-Frozen Fixed: loading a save would change the Master Cutter's choices to a higher tier Fixed: Toxic Environment would set Resistance to -25 instead of lowering it by 25 Fixed: the final boss would very rarely trap you by initiating Fixed: Cellkeep's boss sound would be too loud Join my discord if you want to see upcoming stuff, and... see you around!
