Fight and engineer your way through a steampunk dungeon in this traditional roguelike. Build Drones to gain additional firepower, use Wheel Tokens to time your attacks, and learn from the past as you go. Are you better than the machines?
Hi everyone!

It's been a full year since Full Gear released. In that time, it received many updates: tons of extra items, a new character, a new area, balancing, even a save system i begrudgingly added. But I'm afraid all good things must come to an end. I'm going to stop updating it to focus more on the rest of my life, and future endeavors.

All these positive reviews and kind comments, and great suggestions: against all odds, people actually played and enjoyed my tiny little solo-developed game. That's awesome, it really is. But still - I'm moving on from Full Gear into new territory. A new game, perhaps? Who knows. Nothing's on the radar, though I do have plenty of ideas for future projects. They won't be roguelikes, so don't worry about that. A horror game? Arcade?

If you have any bugs or suggestions, smaller updates are quite easy to do, so be sure to tell me! I still want to add item replacements for 3 additional events - Spring for Air parts/items, New Years for Lightning parts/items, and Corruption surely fits in somewhere too. They probably won't even be announced! Not that they'd change the game at all, heh.

So yeah. It may not mean much to you, but I'm really happy I managed to get this thing on the market and make a few people content with it. To conclude this final announcement, here's a list of secrets and Easter Eggs that are probably too obscure to find. Check them out!

[*]Some quests have an "alternative" way to complete them. You can bomb the Bell Tower, be immune to the Blight from the tripods, recognize the blue beam from one Connected Unit, and kill the Computer from a distance, then magnet the item towards you.
[*]If you type "gearwel" into the Seeder, you can play a little arcade game. Alectron has unique conversation if you play for a certain amount of time.
[*]Starting up a file in Modern Mode, the Administrator/Tracker/Seeder are actually there immediately! You can interact with the machines, they're just invisible. Devi actually just doesn't see them.
[*]It is possible to Execute yourself with "Her Scars Last", by marking yourself with, for example, the Flare Gun.
[*]All NPC's have unique dialogue if you complete their quest, but return to them without the item. They will judge you for it.
[*]Similarly, all bosses have a unique description if you check them before and after they've activated.
[*]Potted plants, final boss decoration, tables, tile markers and grass are all check-able.
[*]There's a 0.1% chance the Blacksmith hurts himself on the anvil.
[*]The Bell Tower has a unique icon and description when it's ringing. But is it really worth checking that?

And finally. Here's a list of posters you can download and print/laminate/whatever for free. Everything is my own design and you can do whatever you want with them. I got the first two laminated in my room as physical souvenirs. Not that I'd forget Full Gear ever.
Obviously.
From the bottom of my mechanical heart:
Thank you for playing.
