During the game, you can see that all the car indicators are displayed on the dashboard, so in the early access release of the game, you will be able to comfortably play without a HUD in the first person.
In addition to the gas station and car wash shown in the previous logs, you will be able to visit a service station to repair your car. As we said in answers to questions – visually, there will be no damage in the first version of early access. But functionally, the cars gets damaged and will need repairs after accidents. And for the future, we have set the mechanics for implementing a full damage system.
Besides wide roads, we have repeatedly emphasized that, in comparison with the first CCD, our city has predominantly narrow roads, where you need to drive at a low speed. In addition to them, we have drive-through courtyards, which saves time when driving on roads with speed limits. Or it helps to avoid detouring a large section of the city.
In our earlier logs, we already shared the progress in working with the camera, but in the GIF format, we are at the crossroads so far: we will switch cameras and look around ourselves with the help of the mouse. It also works in the first person. In addition to the mouse, we can turn the camera left or right by pressing the designated keys, as in other car simulators.
And while the video shows the final trip around the city, let’s note a few things:
First: we realize that not all our logs may contain useful information. However, we do not want to keep silent, and the logs are a kind of reports to the community on the work done.
Second: as always, we note that: the game’s UI is not in the final form and quality, and work on sounds is still in progress, so they are not present in this video.
Third: our team is not satisfied with the quality of the rear-view mirrors – we’ll make them better. This is not the final appearance of the graphics generally.
And last: as for the video – we disabled fines; in our future logs, we will tell you in detail and show how it works.
And that’s all, thanks for watching. Logs are released every two weeks – don’t miss them!
