Hello guys, gals, and nonbinary pals!
It's Wednesday, so it's time to update you all on the progress so far.
This week brings some very exciting changes mostly to do with the weaponry, but we've also got a nice non-weapon-related update to cover as well.
First and foremost, we've added in some new weapon models as well as weapon types, giving the game a bit more variety in your murder options. We've also added different ammo boxes that are specific for each weapon depending on what it's chambered in.

On top of this, we've completely revamped how the inventory works. Previously, you would pick up a weapon and find ammo for it, but that would be the only weapon you could carry. If you wanted a different weapon, it would be dropped and swapped for the new one. Ammunition wasn't all that great either, as it was only one ammo type for all guns even though they were registering as different ammo types. Basically, if you found an UZI then grabbed an ammo crate, that ammo would be registered as UZI ammo. If you then swapped to an AK47, you couldn't use any of the ammo you found but would instead have to find a new instance of ammo. All in all, it was just a terrible way of doing things.
So we fixed it.

Aiming now works differently as well, in the sense that you can now aim down sights in order to get better aim and land shots more frequently.

Speaking of weapons, that's all been redone as well. In the beginning, everything was raycast and had the same range. This was an awful way to do things, and it meant shotguns were incredibly overpowered. Imagine being able to 1-hit snipe somebody from a kilometer away with birdshot - not fun.
So we fixed it.
Now every weapon has its own recoil patterns, and we utilize a ballistics model so you'll have to lead your shots and be mindful of bullet drop.
