The Competitive Update is here! We're thrilled to be finally sharing what we've been working on, having people play, and seeing them rise through the ranks from Bronze, all the way to Global Champion.
NEW CONTENT

Competitive game mode
Ranks for players to achieve (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, Grand-Master & Global Champion)
Competitive gun skins

BREACHERS COMPETITIVE: HOW DOES IT WORK?
Season Zero: Breachers Competitive will start with “Season Zero”. Despite its name, this is a fully fledged Competitive season equipped with everything you’d expect, from ranks to climb, and rewards to earn. The main reason why we called it Season Zero, is because while we have tested this update rigorously, nothing compares to the real deal: giving it to all our players to be enjoyed. Throughout “Season Zero” certain features and values can still be tweaked to guarantee an optimal player experience. By the time we do the next season, we’ll have perfected our Competitive formula through player and community feedback. Whilst on the topic of seasons, every season will last three months, for a total of four Competitive seasons per year. Queuing for Competitive: Players start queuing for a Competitive match in the main menu, either alone, or as a party. While waiting for a match to be found, we wanted our players to be engaged even while queuing, so we implemented the option to let them play Team Deathmatch until a Competitive match has been found. This way, we keep players engaged and playing, while simultaneously warming them up for their upcoming match. While queuing, players can also choose to freely navigate the main menu scene, sort out their skins in the armory, or have a go at the shooting range. When a match is found, the player is transported into a lobby where map voting will take place. After the map has been selected, the players will start their Competitive match and fight for victory. No ties in Breachers Competitive: Contrary to Quickplay matches, ties or draws are not possible in Competitive matches. For Competitive, when a tie or draw happens, the highest scoring team will choose which side they play on in an overtime round. Whoever wins that round, then wins the match. When both team scores are also tied, the team who decides which side to play on gets chosen at random at the same odds. Placement matches & ranks: For a player to achieve their first rank, they need to complete a total of 5 placement matches. Depending on how you did during these matches, the player’s first rank will be calculated. After that, every game has an impact on the player’s skill point rating. They’ll have the opportunity to climb the ladder and achieve higher ranks, or be unfortunate enough to get demoted. The ranks go from Bronze, to Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, Grand-Master, all the way to Global Champion. Competitive Rewards: Players can earn rewards by rising through the ranks in the form of skins (each representing a rank), and in-game credits. Players do need to complete a minimum amount of 30 matches in a season to be able to claim the rewards they earned. Once that minimum number of matches has been reached, the credits can be claimed immediately, while the skins are awarded at the end of the season. For the rewards, the player’s season high rank is what counts (except for Global Champion, a player will need to be that rank at the end of the season to get the corresponding skin). Players that play more than 50 matches are rewarded with 250 extra in-game credits as a season bonus. Additionally, doing so will lock the player out of any online play entirely until the Competitive match they were a part of ends. Players will always have the option to change their mind and rejoin the fight. Any further questions about Competitive?
