Beasts of Bermuda

Beasts of Bermuda is a multiplayer game hosting large servers in which the player grows up as a dinosaur or other prehistoric creature. The player becomes part of a living, player-created ecosystem. The ultimate objective is to survive on one of the islands within Bermuda.

This includes Free Roam and Combat servers. -The skin will be unlockable throughout the month of July -This skin has a special barnacle layer that goes on top of the skin. If this skin is unlocked, this layer can be applied to any other Lurdusaurus skin. -Additionally, Unlocked Overlays can now be applied/removed from characters at any time, even on dinosaurs too old to otherwise edit their skin. -This skin has bioluminescence on the body, the spikes, and on the eyes, as well as a metallic marking. [h3]Nesting Event Skins[/h3] Due to popular request, the Waverider skin may be nested by owners. The skin will not pass down some special marking types in order to encourage event participation. These markings include the Bio Layers and custom surface material files such as the metallic layer. In the future older event skins will be assessed for similar nesting compatibilities. [h2]Achievements System[/h2] Here is a list of new unlockable achievements: -Survivor (3 tiers) Survive to 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5 in gauntlet mode. Each tier unlocks a new achievement -Incest Survivor (4 tiers): Survive the egg, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 in gauntlet mode. -Mutation encounters: Discover 10 different mutations, either by receiving them or by smelling players with one or several of them. Unlocking this achievement will increase your chances to have any of the unique mutations when nesting. -Sickness survivor (3 tiers) Survive a small, mild and hard sickness. -For each dino: Grow to 2.5 or larger to unlock a new cosmetic, the elder eyes for this dino. [b]Seasonal Achievements:[/b] -New Summer Skin: Grow a lurdu to 2.0 in Gauntlet mode to unlock the summer skin. -Old: Past Seasonal achievements can be viewed in the Seasonal Gallery. [h3]New Achievement Interface[/h3] -You can access and view those achievements via a brand new interface called the [b]Achievement Gallery[/b], which we will complete as we add more achievements to the game! In this gallery, you will be able to see your progress on each achievement, which achievements are unlocked, and the progress on any if progress is relevant. -You can access this gallery via the escape menu: "View Achievements". You can also access this gallery via the character screen with a new button on the middle-left of the screen. -Most of these achievements are per-server currently, with the exception of seasonal achievements which replicate across every server. -Certain achievements wrap sub-galleries. You can access them by clicking the achievement. Achievement with sub-galleries have a label with the gallery name under their icon. Hovering any achievement with the mouse will provide information about the current progress on that achievement. This includes: -Better and more consistent skins -No broken or misnamed layers -Many other bug fixes related to skins -9 unique mutations that can happen at random --Including Bioluminescence, and improved Albino -1 mutation that can only happen from incest -Various client and server performance improvements tied to dealing with skin data and generating skins. -When you have a mutation, it will be displayed on the skin editor UI. Certain mutations lock the skin completely to the mutated colors, others lock only specific layers. -Mutations do not pass down to offspring, unless the offspring also has one or several mutations. -Receiving mutations count as discovering them for the achievement "Mutation Hunter". -There is a dedicated gallery for the mutations. You can access it via the Achievement Gallery, Category Cosmetics -> Mutation Hunter. [h2]Map Updates[/h2] [h3]Spawn Point Regions[/h3] +When selecting a spawn point on either Isla Titania or Volcano Bay, the player will now be asked what spawn point region they wish to spawn at. There are four regions on both maps. The landscape above and below is coated in a thick layer of ash, with newly growing plants making the most of the nutrient-rich soil. Players may make the journey here to this inhospitable area for its abundance of charcoal and other sickness combating elements.[/i] +Added Rideable Raft that floats around the Ashen bay area. +Ashen area has a special post processing that makes the scene appear more muted and ashy +Ashen Area has custom music by Sachbun +Ashen Area has 1 watersource which is not mandatory for the Watersources Visited trial. The coast has many small coves to explore and seek shelter from the rain. As scents accumulate in different parts of the map, they will collect into separate scent hotspots that are automatically calculated and clumped into regions.
