Naturally, that directs my attention to the localization of the game. When I thought about the title of the game, I was reading an article about the TV drama "Miami Vice". The title in Japanese is translated as "Miami Special Investigation Squad" so I simply thought, "Maybe Vice is a police term in English." But then, I asked our localizer and got the reply that no, the word "Vice" has nothing to do with the meaning squad or investigation... What does it mean then? "Immoral or wicked behavior, criminal activities." Oh. Sounds too serious and not quite what I was looking for. But then, I also got the explanation that it also means having a moral fault or bad habit you just can't quit. So by combining it with the world "Scramble", meaning to move in urgency or panic in a disorderly fashion, it could imply being hooked on chaos. So, that's how we got the title for our trigger-happy game. It sits well with me since the game's fun is in enthusiastically blowing things up everywhere. I doubt auto translate could have given me the same satisfaction, so thanks to our localizers! As you can see, we've got many people working on the project. We'd really appreciate it if you could add us to your wish list... "See you, Scramble Vice!!"
