ROADMAP: DEMOLITION MODE IS NOW AVAILABLE!

PhaigeX: Hyperspace Survivors

PhaigeX is a fast-paced "Bullet Heaven" space shooter that tasks the player to explore various space sectors and contain a rising incursion of rogue AI-controlled units. Pilot a variety of ships, call in the support craft, and use a myriad of upgrades to lay down heavy firepower towards the enemy.

PhaigeX Employees, we have found the enemy A.I. stronghold! Now it is finally time to take the fight to them.
New Game Mode: Demolition
Demolition Mode drops the player in the middle of the enemy territory, and is tasked to destroy key structures to deal a heavy blow on the A.I. incursion progress. The endeavor will not be a walk in the park (look at the 5-star difficulty), as the place is filled with fortified strongholds that has the defensive firepower to keep unsuspecting intruders away. Enter this game mode with a fully-upgraded ship for a better chance of survivng, not that we are stopping the ones who want the challenge of using base stat ships here. To succeed in this mission, a central structure called a Megalith needs to be taken down. It is protected by a powerful barrier which is impervious to attacks, so disabling the barrier is the priority before the actual demolition. Four (4) Energy Pylons are placed in megastructures connected to the Megalith, supplying power to support the barrier. Destroy all of them, and the barrier will weaken. Keep in mind that the enemy forces will do just about anything to stop you, and they have the home advantage to impede your progress with armed structures, ability to call in enemy drones and ships, and troublesome incursion events. When you go back and face down the Megalith, be ready for a tough fight. Its segmented modules are already tough to deal with as they are, but keep watch of the central warp it is trying to open. Also, try to avoid reaching 100% incursion, because that would open a whole new can of worms for you.
Demolition Mode Clear Reward: Alter Skins!
Your efforts will be rewarded once you clear Demolition Mode with the ship of your choice. It will unlock a new skin for the ship you used, but it is not just any normal skin. Besides making alterations to the ship's appearance and attack visuals... it also adds modifications to one of the ship's unique abilities, offering a new dimension of play using the same ship! You can see the modifications made by the skin on the modified abilities' description (in purple text) on the support shop, or on the pause menu if you have the unique ability equipped.
Gameplay Changes and Bug Fixes
With the new update (and progress from the Beta branch), ships, weapons and passives have undergone changes to mesh well with Demolition Mode. Some equipment will do bonus damage against structures, so take a second look at the description of some of these. While most bugs have been mostly taken care of since the introduction of Demolition in the beta branch, please report back to us for any suspicious or game-breaking behavior that comes up with this update. Our people here at Development are always open for your feedback and suggestions.
Roadmap Progress
We finally got Demolition Mode out of the roadmap. As for what's next, the Management deliberated on some matters, and have come to the decision that instead of adding another ship banner, a new set of common power ups will be introduced to increase build variety. In addition, it is planned to look back to the currently implemented Weapons/Passives/SP Tech and give them the update they deserve, whether that be improved visuals, stat buffs or possible synergies with other abilities. Look forward to those developments in future announcements. Towards a brighter future (It is finally within our reach!), The PhaigeX MegaCorp.
