gameplay changes & features: - New cell types: Acid cell, Ink cell, Vacuum cell, Linking cell, and Self-colliding cell - More creatures from Keith - Added some festive parasites - Combo cell icon now changes based on the combined cell types - Having multiple combo cells and is now possible, and combo cells can be used as part of other combo cells - Mutations that get imbued with cells now pick from your list of unlocked cells, and the ui for selecting imbued cell types now appears around the mutation pickup when you select it - The total width of your healthbar now scales logarithmically - The fill tool now works on enclosed empty regions - The fill tool will now replace all cells of a given type when control is held down, regardless of connectivity - The selection tool now behaves better with symmetry on - Cell type buttons will try to return to their resting position when you bump them with another cell type button - Added move and delete tools to sandbox mode - Made creature spawn tool able to spawn more than one of a creature at a time when you hold control - Added more team options for the team selection tool, including a "None" option which will make a creature enemies with all other creatures. The spawn creature tool will also use the selected team - Increased biomass storage of growth gating cells from 1 to 4 - Particles from jet cells now push other cells - Breakaway cells are back to being conductive and will always power neighboring cells when they are activated - Lightning from amp cells are now directed toward open sides - Jet cells can now activate at lower voltages - Seek trigger cells now output voltage proportional to their distance from your mouse cursor, with full voltage output when at a distance around 30% of your vision radius - Increased poison damage and reduced poison spreading threshold - Reduced leech rate of leeching cells and reduced their biomass storage back to 1 - Overhealed cells lose health less quickly - Sticky cells lose stickiness more quickly, but now share stickiness with neighboring sticky cells - Rebirth is now limitted to parts that detached within the past 20 seconds - New biomes - Modified algorithm for biome connection and placement - The third biome now has some patches of non-lava walls - Cells no longer instantly die when the creature they belong to dies - Added heat shimmer effect for lava walls - Added shockwave distortion from explosions and adjusted explosion visual to make the radius more clear - New visual effect for backgrounds and certain particles, this can be turned off in video settings bugfixes: - Fixed bugs with resolution switching - Fixed the close button in the top left corner of the edit menu not working - Fixed particles in streams only having half of the flow velocity - Fixed panning with arrow keys in the editor being rotated if you change your build orientation - Fixed some issues with death threshold calculation while changing body plans - Fixed new game confirmation erroneously showing up when you start a new game from the main menu after dying - Fixed being able to paste cells from a previous run which you had not yet unlocked - Fixed budding timer resetting for parts that detach from detached parts - Fixed sticky cells attaching to walls even if they have no exposed sides - Fixed pinch to zoom with mousepads triggering a fake press of the control button - Fixed the game using the incorrect Steam appid for the demo misc - Greatly reduced video memory usage - Adjusted default settings to be friendlier for lower end devices, this will only apply to fresh installs * Disabled replay recorder by default * Hardware cursor is enabled by default * Windowed mode is now default * The default resolution is now 1280x720 instead of 1920x1080 - Added settings to turn off background effects and reflections - Added support for 4k resolutions - You can now press control-Y in addition to control-shift-Z in order to redo in the editor - Pressing escape on the exit screen will now return to the main/pause menu - Removed dependence on visual studio runtime
