Hello.
There's a new demo available now. This demo fixes a few issues and also makes some changes to the enemies. Changes should make the enemies more aggressive but allow for more time to react, or at least that was the plan, lol.
The AI for this game is a little tricky because the Dolls are fast, and it's cool that they are fast. Killer Dolls Dark Abyss is a fast game, so it doesn't make sense to have a slow combat with parries, blocking, and it doesn't make to have enemies that "slowly come to you and prepare to attack" either, like other games. So everything has to work according to the speed of the Dolls. The changes only affect the punching enemies and the bow enemies.
This is specially true for, Cami, The Daughter of The Sun (the silver-haired Doll). She's not only fast but can attack from the distance, and her play style forces you to move around since she attacks with the orb.
Other fixes:
Dash direction should be more responsive now. There was an issue that caused the dash to NOT go in the direction you wanted, if you changed direction abruptly and dashed immediately. Now, dash should always go in the direction you want.
The "undead orc" (the orc that revives) should be finally fixed.
Also, the demo should now support cloud saves. This may not be so relevant for the demo, since it's fairly short, but it's there if you need it. The full game will also have cloud saves.
Also, was thinking about adding attack cues to all the punching enemies attacks (the glowing eyes), but I don't know if that's too much. Will continue testing other ways to deliver the attack anticipation for the punching enemies.
As always, if you have any comments or suggestions, drop them in the comments. Also please share this game with your friends. We hope this game does well enough to make more Killer Dolls games in the future!
