According to them, this new science is the only way to escape the omnipotence of the Sources at the origin of magic. However, the long-lasting war against the Coalition and the Order created a state of paranoia within their borders, causing a tight control of information. But its organization is a fragile one, plagued by inward fighting. The moderates and the extremes compete for power to impose their view on how they should end technology, considered unnatural.
