Hello fellow gamers! I’m Nick, the Lead Developer for Combat Wombat Studios. I’ve been a fan of video games since even before console games really took off. Some of the first games I played were arcade games like Pole Position and Paperboy. Soon, Nintendo came out with NES games like Duck Hunt, Mario Bros., Zelda, and later, Street Fighter II for Super Nintendo. From then on, I couldn’t help myself in thinking of new game ideas or how to make existing game concepts better. By nature, I’m an idea person that values the know-how to make it happen. When I was young and was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, it was a bio-mechanical engineer at the time. I ended up getting a degree in mechanical engineering and worked in that field for some time. Throughout this time, I saw mobile gaming taking off and opening this huge new market for the gaming industry. I liked the idea of being able to make and sell games from home, so I began to learn how to do that. After spending a few years doing that in my spare time, I took a leap of faith, quit my engineering job, and started my own game company. I released some mobile games and worked on some console and computer games. I had gained a little traction with these games, yet I realized this was something I couldn’t continue to do on my own. This led me to working with Combat Wombat Studios. Being the Lead Developer here has been very rewarding. I very much like the idea of working with a start-up game company, as I have the opportunity to be a major contributor to new games, and I get to work with a tight-knit group of coworkers. I’m looking forward to working on more games with the Combat Wombat Studios and hope you enjoy what we do.
