In this devlog post we will share some details about [b]Weapons[/b] and [b]Skimirsh[/b] combat mechanic.
[h3]Skirmish[/h3]
In Matergari, melee combat between hostile characters is referred as [b]Skirmish[/b].
[b]Skirmish[/b] is automated and there's no need for the player to click or press buttons: hits will occur periodically with their frequency and damage altered by [b]Weapon[/b] choice and character's attributes.

[h3]Weapons[/h3]
Unlike [b]Armor[/b] and [b]Accessories[/b], this category of items do not come with any attribute but sports various modifiers that are meant to define a character's [b]Skirmish[/b] attack and it's up to the players to choose the combination that better suits their style. Ranging from - to name a few - [b]Cleave[/b] (damage is dealt in a small area), to [b]Pierce[/b] (ignores a portion of Armor) and [b]Bleed[/b] (bonus damage over time) each has its utility when dealing with many enemies or just one opponent.
