Hello Crafters. How is everyone today? The weather here is nice today, after a lot of rain. So at least there's some Summer going! As we continue the development of the 11th character, Jewellia, and progress through the Cavern area, we are also thinking about some adjustments in the game that might be good for it. Besides the development of new content, through new Stages, more Talents for each of the 10 current characters, all the new things added with a new character, bosses and challenges, we have been taking into consideration removing some of the Stages that were planned to the Cavern area to reduce the size of the map and the amount of Stages to do. As some of the latest feedback seems that a lot of players think the game is too grindy, it seems that the amount of Stages available per area might be too high, and the designed map of the Cavern had more Stages than the Mountain, we decided to cut back on the Stages. This is not going to impact the current area, as none of the Stages that were already playable will be removed. At least for now. Taking this into consideration, we are going to limit the number of Stages in the next areas of the game as well and also adjust the number of Stages in the Haunted Grounds to keep it more on par with previous areas instead of making a massive amount of Stages to fight. We thought that having more Stages would be more interesting to play, as there would be more things to complete while gathering materials to improve the Village, without having to actually repeat a lot of Stages for it, but it seems that it could have backfired, so we are taking a step back on it and adjusting some of the future content on this. Maybe this will have to affect previous content as well in the future, but we don't know yet. Let us know if you have any feedback on the actual amount of Stages in any of the areas, specially Mountain and Cavern, so we can have a better idea of what our players think. Moving on from that, we are now going to talk a bit about the Malignous Mode. We know that it is somewhat a popular difficulty in the game among the community, as a lot of players mention about it. We also take into consideration that the mode can extend the gameplay of some stages in the way the difficulty is applied, and depending on the character chosen, the Stages can take a long time to complete. It seems that this mode, aside from being slightly popular, can also cause some problems, as the lengthy fights can be frustrating for some players. We have been discussing about this mode for quite a while and some possibilities to adjust it in the upcoming update, but we also want to hear more from the players that enjoy the Malignous Mode on some of the possibilities before we change the difficulty. Any changes to it have to be taken into careful consideration because we know some players enjoy the difficulty as it is, so want to plan it accordingly if any changes are necessary in it or not. This being said, it doesn't mean we are going to change it. We want to hear from the players themselves before we decide on any action. As it currently stands, it seems that the majority of players that play on this mode seem to want either a bigger challenge or just want to play it because the characters can level up even further than the other modes. So some of the ideas ideas we started thinking about that could adjust the mode are: 1- Reducing the life of enemies in the mode, to reduce the duration of the stage, as enemies will die faster which can reduce the difficulty; 2 - Reduce the amount of enemies, which will reduce the duration of the stage, but also means less experience at the end and less levels. However, we know some players really enjoy the current mode, so we must take into consideration that: 3 - Mode is fine as is with the amount of enemies and their health pool We want to hear from whoever enjoys the mode, played on it and etc. As I said, we won't change the mode if a majority of the player base that actively enjoys it wants the difficulty mode in the way it currently is, as we have to take into consideration all sides of the community before committing to a change that can be quite impactful. So let us know of any of the numbers above what your thoughts are. I guess that is all for today, with the Daily Newton! More information in the future, so keep an eye out for it. Have a good day! And keep Crafty!
