BattleCourt Beta 1.5 Adds new Functionality to the Game.
[h1]FEATURES ADDED[/h1]
- Boss Overhaul. Zombie Boss and UFO Boss now spawn enemies. UFO Boss also Fires 8 lasers every 2 Seconds in random Directions, and Mech boss Fires a Homing Missile every 4 Seconds.
- Water Overhaul. When enterring water a splash effect and sound plays. While in water a water wave animation surrounds the player. Enemies also gain the effects.
- Positional Audio. Audio Events such as enemies dying, the new Hazards, and Enemy Water Splash sounds now have positional and random pitch added. The Sound Event volume becomes softer if further away. If it occurs left or right it plays on your speakers to best represent that position. Random Pitch also adds variance to the sounds such as the Water Splash and Enemy Death sound.
- A New Enemy Type - Biomancer, which fires projectiles at the player. Achievements assigned and Biomancer only Enemy Level Modifier added as well as added Biomancers to the Default Waves.
- Enemy Projectiles. Used in the Biomancer and now the UFO and Mech Bosses. Allowing for more enemy types to be added which fire projectiles.
- 4 new Levels. Island, Warehouse, Railway, and Dungeon.
- Hazards. Hazards can damage both the player and enemies. Current Hazards include the Minecarts on the railway level, and the Ghost Skulls on the dungeon level. Use the hazards to help you destroy enemies while avoiding damage to yourself.
- 2 new Weapons, Spike Trap (Tier 1) and Cannon (Tier 4).
[h1]WHAT'S NEXT[/h1]
For anyone who follows me on youtube, you might have seen I am building a 3d Engine to have my next release be a fully fleshed out 3D ARPG which is taking up most of my time now. I plan to keep adding features and eventually get BattleCourt to Full release in the next few updates.
I am also going to spend some time working on making a better trailer for the game.

- Added Grid System to be used for Collision.
- Changed Collision to check for Player->Collidable Collision in Grid
Co-Ord Occupied by player, and 8 Surrounding Cells. Instead of every
single Collidable.
- Allowed Wall Slide so walls feel less sticky.
- Aliens now slowly roam around if they are Greater than 800 Units away.
- Removed Barrels from Level Start spawn.
- Fixed Bug that Didn't save Coins after buying Upgrades.
- Weakened the Knockback Effect of the Wind Modifier to 1/6th of the Value.
- New Enemy Type Added: Biomancer. Moves slowly and fires Projectiles at
player. 4 new Achievements and 1 Challenge added for Biomancers.
- Added Enemy Challenge Mode - Biomancers Only, with 1 new Achievement.
- Added Biomancers to the Default and x2 Enemy Challenge Modes.
- Loot Tables added to the Biomancer with the same Drop Rates as Ghosts,
at 4% Base Drop Rate.
- Zombie Bosses now spawn 3 Basic Zombies every 5 Seconds.
- All Bosses HP Increased By x10.
- Added Sound Position, Volume, and Random Pitch functionality used in
enemies gun Fire.
- Mech Bosses now Fires a Homing Missle Every 4 Seconds.
- UFO Bosses now Fires 8 Lasers Every 2 Seconds in random Directions
around it.
- UFO Bosses now spawn 3 Basic Aliens every 5 Seconds.
- Bosses are now Immune to Electric Damage Due to the slow effect.
- Fixed bug where boss Confuse, Stun, Weaken, and Vulnerable immunity was
not working. Bosses are now immune to those status effects correctly.
- Added Sound splash when entering water for player and enemies. Enemies
splash sound uses Sound Functionality added in this patch. Player
splash sound uses random Pitch.
- Player and Enemy Shadows and Feet are no longer drawn while in water.
- Added Splash Visual Effect when entering water.
- Enemy Splatter and Death stains no longer draw on water.
- Added Water Visual Effect while in water.
- Cleared the Beach and Courtyard Water.
- The Beach Level Water is now swimmable.
- New T2,T3 and T4 Beams have their Base Damage Reduced by 50%.
- Added new Level - Island. No Achievements assigned at this stage.
- Added new Level - Warehouse. No Achievements assigned at this stage.
- Added new Level - Railway. No Achievements assigned at this stage.
- Added new Level - Dungeon. No Achievements assigned at this stage.
- Added Hazards. Hazards hurt the Player and Enemies on Collision.
NOTE: Hazards Damage to Player can be reduced with Damage Reduction.
- Added Minecart Hazards to Railway Level. Minecarts will roll on the
tracks from left and right at random speeds.
- Added Positional + Random Pitch Audio to Wall Destruction.
- Added Sound Effect and Positional + Random Pitch Audio to Enemy Deaths.
- Added Skull Hazards to Dungeon Level. Skulls will move in random
directions around the map.
- Added Positional Audio to Minecarts and Skulls.
- Beams no longer use Raycasting Collision, now works the same as other
rapid fire guns. This is to prevent beams damaging through walls.
Rails/Snipers still use Raycasting, so they will pierce walls.
- New tier 4 gun added - Cannon. Fires piercing Big-Explosion bullets.
- New tier 1 gun added - Spike Trap. Damages anything that passes through.
- Explosive bullets that pierce no longer cast an explosion on Collision
with Enemies. They will still explode when hitting a wall.
- Enemies now Have ImmunityTimers. 0.05 seconds for Beams and 0.1 seconds
for every other gun. Explosion Immunity is seperate to other damage
types.
- Added Level Descriptions in the Level Select Menu.
