Autopsy Simulator is a first-person horror-sim hybrid where players take on the role of a practice pathologist and study case files, created in collaboration with real-world forensic doctors, to help guide their dissection of anatomically accurate bodies to determine each subject’s cause of death.

[b]Hey Pathologists,[/b] We are excited to announce that our [b]PTE for Autopsy Only Mode arrives tomorrow[/b] on Steam! Before we get into the key information, we want to make the community aware that tomorrow's [b]AOM PTE will feature a pre-alpha build.[/b] Our PTE AOM build is an [b]early development of our new game mode, which means that you may run into bugs and issues[/b] during tomorrow's PTE. We'll be sharing a list of current known issues with the community ahead of time. We're also [b]using this period to collate feedback surrounding the game loop of Autopsy Only Mode and the simulation gameplay mechanics[/b], before the new game modes release! [h2]PTE TIMINGS & INFO:[/h2] [h3]📅 Thursday 26th September ⏰ Begins at 6PM BST ⌨️ Play a Pre-Alpha build of Autopsy Only Mode 🧑‍💻 Available to all Steam owners of Autopsy Sim![/h3] We are looking forward to our community having [b]a hands-on experience[/b] with AOM and [b]gathering community feedback before the full launch of our new game mode.[/b] [h3]What is a PTE?[/h3] A Public Test Environment is a version of the game available for download that lets you play unreleased, alpha/beta-phase content. By running a PTE, we’ll test our game modes' new features, scoring system, gameplay mechanics and bug searching. It’s also important to note that the content in our PTE may contain issues and incomplete features, as it will be an alpha build. [h3]How do I join the PTE?[/h3] Tomorrow, we'll provide the community with a branch code for Autopsy Simulator which will grant players access to Autopsy Only Mode. Once you've added the branch code to Autopsy Simulator in your Steam library, you'll have access to our AOM alpha build. Here are the steps of how to add a branch code to Autopsy Simulator, ready for you tomorrow: [olist][*] Go to your Steam Library [*] Right Click on Autopsy Simulator [*] Click on Properties [*] Select the BETAS tab on the left [*] Input the branch code (this will be provided on PTE launch day) and click "Check Code" [*] If the code is correct, it should say "Success! Beta unlocked" below the box. Click on "Opt-into: Name_of_the_branch" [*] Autopsy Simulator should now be downloading an update for Autopsy Only Mode! If not, simply quit and restart Steam[/olist]Tomorrow at 6pm BST, we will confirm the PTE branch code on Discord and Steam News, allowing all Steam owners access to playtest Autopsy Only Mode through the branch code steps above.
