Autopsy Simulator is a first-person horror-sim hybrid where players take on the role of a practice pathologist and study case files, created in collaboration with real-world forensic doctors, to help guide their dissection of anatomically accurate bodies to determine each subject’s cause of death.

Hey Pathologists! 👋🧑‍⚕️ Today, we have great news to share, as after multiple Autopsy Only Mode PTE updates, we have a confirmed launch date for our Autopsy Only Mode free content update for Autopsy Simulator. [h3]Autopsy Only Mode will launch on December 12th for Autopsy Simulator![/h3] [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37485356/9119770271dc5945156da895b30d7c03de70b676.gif[/img] [h2]Autopsy Only Mode - Key Features[/h2] Head back into the Autopsy Room on December 12th to experience our new simulation-focused game mode! Step into the shoes of a student pathologist and conduct autopsies correctly by following the accurate flow and procedures in the Autopsy Room to get the best final rating and score! In Autopsy Only Mode, you'll be scored based on several specific criteria, including: [b]The flow of the autopsy:[/b] Players need to ensure all areas of the internal and external examinations are conducted and performed well. If some procedures during the autopsy are skipped, players will be docked points from their final score. It could be as simple as forgetting to photograph an integral area of the cavader or as big as forgetting to examine an organ. All choices during the new game mode will affect your final score, so make sure you're making decisive decisions in the Autopsy Room to ensure the best Autopsy Only Mode score! Alongside this, ensure you are cutting organs correctly and not failing any minigames, as this will cause you to lose score. [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37485356/0fe8f5b99ea9579fd27d8db52858b45491d42b96.gif[/img] [b]Final cause of death judgement:[/b] In Autopsy Only Mode, there are seven generic causes of death across all cadavers and three unique causes of death, one per cadaver in Autopsy Only Mode. When you begin your game of AOM, there are eight possible causes of death for each body. Select the correct cause of death for the cadaver to gain points and a better final rank in Autopsy Only Mode! To do so, ensure you've been thorough in your examinations and review your notes in your clipboard tabs. Also, we've added fourteen decoy causes of death, to add more randomness to the game mode and increase AOM's replayability! Decoy causes of death create misdirection, whilst developing the narrative of the events unfolding as you progress through the autopsy. [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37485356/a360ae05c6cfac51c9da6504cc8be4e43ff9b502.gif[/img] [h3]Stuck during your time in the Autopsy Room?[/h3] If you're struggling during your Autopsy Only Mode playthrough, here are two elements that will quickly help you on December 12th: [b]New Tape recorder: [/b]Utilise Jack's knowledge through his pre-recorded audio tapes, which acts as a guide for Autopsy Only Mode and contains useful information about the flow of the Autopsy procedure. Already a master in the Autopsy Room? There's an option to turn off the tapes in Autopsy Only Mode for those who want to experience the game mode without this feature! Here you will view each stage of the autopsy procedure and the ordering of tasks to complete in the Autopsy Room. Following the blackboard's order will benefit your final scoring during our Autopsy Only Mode game mode! Your feedback, suggestions and comments during the PTE process have helped us make Autopsy Only Mode the best game mode it can be! 🖤 Our last update was our final for the PTE branch, as we've been focusing in recent weeks on finalising the game mode, ready for its release on December 12th. During the PTE process, we've added new features and tweaked existing mini-games for Autopsy Only Mode, which includes cadavers arriving in zip-bags, a new Loppers mini-game, new mazes for existing mini-games, alterations to the UV Lamp to integrate this tool into the process of Autopsy Only Mode, and more! These additions and alterations will create more variation for each game of Autopsy Only Mode and better suit the scoring mechanic of our new game mode for Autopsy Simulator!
