Hi everyone!
The Steam Next Fest October edition is coming to an end, so we wish to conclude it with a few words from the developer and 100 Games team.
Firstly, to YouTubers and their communities: thank you for playing the Demo and for receiving it so kindly. We’ve watched every gameplay and we’ve read through hundreds of comments. We see your questions and we appreciate your feedback so much. It was extremely reassuring, especially since we haven’t been able to present anything from the game for such a long time.
Secondly, we see you remember the prologue from three years ago. It may not be the best news for some of you, but we wish to share it with you anyway. Although Anthology of Fear: Prologue had been released under a different studio name, and the full version since the very beginning has been developed by only one, and the same throughout, person! The development of the game turned out to be longer than we might have wished. Don’t worry, though, the game is almost finished.
What’s also new, is that the development of Anthology of Fear is now being supervised by 100 Games, the team which has been with this title since the very beginning. We have been responsible for AoF’s quality assurance for over 3 years and now we can officially announce that we’re aiding the developer as best as we can, and we’re proud of the work we’ve all put into the game.
Since the prologue, the game has changed drastically. We’ve been through a few different visions and different approaches to the story. To show you just how far the game has come, Anthology of Fear: Prologue will still be available on itch.io. You can think of the prologue as another addition to our Anthology, another chapter. However, the events of Anthology of Fear: Prologue are not linked in any way to the events of the full version.
Lastly, we have seen you asking questions… Which we will answer in the full version. When? January 20, 2023. Until then, you can still play the Demo.
We don’t want to leave you with no info from us for too long, again. For the next few months we want to update you and perhaps tease you just a bit with content from the game. We’ve been quiet for too long.
See you soon,
OhDeer Studio and 100 Games team
