[h1][b]Welcome to the Compagnie![/b][/h1] Thank you so much in participating in the VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY early stages of [i]We Got Compagnie![/i] [h2]Here's some things to note as of May 1st, 2024.[/h2] [h3]What you're about to play is the [u]April 19th, 2024 Playtest Build[/u] of WGC.[/h3] Here's what that means: [list] [*] You may or may not notice that the MC's character model looks [b]a bit weird[/b] when you start playing... Just keep in mind that it is a [i][b]Work in Progress[/b][/i] and that that part of the player model is a placeholder and will be addressed by the next playtest update. (*Cliffnotes: It is not going to be textured or have working model-physics) Here's the [b]concept art[/b] of what the model [i]will [b]soon[/b][/i] look like: [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45003841/cad10e5300332e5ca13508b886c152a03c201789.png[/img] [*] We are about to implement a new movement system that will aim on providing the player with more precise control and ease of play, which is [i]NOT[/i] included in this build. Meaning any feedback in this area will probably be overshadowed by this new system (**Still, we would LOVE to hear any comparisons between the old and new systems upon release of the next Playtesting session). [*] The controls for this build are as follows: (**PLEASE NOTE: While there is indication of what the controls are on modern generation controllers in-game [DualSense, Xbox Controllers, etc.], there is currently none for keyboard. Also note that the controls are still very much a work-in-progress...) [u]Controller:[/u] Use the left analog stick to move, and click in on the left analog stick to run. Use the right analog stick to look around, and click in on the right analog stick to toggle lock on on/off. Press the Left Trigger to dodge/dash. Press rapidly the Right Trigger to shoot the flurry attack. Press and hold the Right Shoulder to shoot beam attack. Press the Lower Face Button to jump, hold to magically float temporarily. Press Start Button to Pause. [u]Keyboard:[/u] Use the wasd keys to move, and click left shift to run. Use the mouse to look around. Press V to dodge/dash. Press E to toggle lock on on/off. Press the left mouse button rapidly to fire the flurry attack. Press and hold the right mouse button to shoot the beam attack. Press space to jump, hold to magically float temporarily. Press P to Pause. [/list] [h2]Here's what we're looking for in terms of feedback for the current Playtest Session (As of 5/1/2024)...[/h2] [list] [*] Any apparent [b]bugs or exploits[/b] that can happen with the game. [*] Suggestions on any [b]improvements for controls[/b]. [*] Suggestions on [b]improving the audio system[/b] we have implemented would be greatly appreciated, too!
