Hello, Generals!
In these months, you have pointed out to me that the game has problems starting.
Initially I was not too worried, because I know that this problem has always existed, but it affected very few players and I also never understood how to solve it, because I can never replicate it on my machines.
However, since I updated the game engine (Unity) in the hope of improving the experience for all users, I noticed that many more players were unable to start the game.
Even in this case, I could not replicate the problem on my computers, but something had to be done! I could not allow the hecatomb of insects to stop!
Consequently I opted for the most logical thing: I brought Home Wars back to the original game engine, trying to maintain all the improvements I had made in the last updates.
It really took me a long time, but it was the right thing to do for those who believed in me and in this project.
CHANGES IN VERSION 1.036:
- The game engine has been brought back to 2017! We are back to Unity 5.4!
I know it's always a paradox, but maybe it's the most stable way to play HW.
Let me know if you notice a performance degradation, thanks.
- I tried to keep all the improvements of the latest updates, but I definitely missed something, so if you notice it, let me know!
- I remember that some people complained about problems in the initial menu, I think they said they couldn't see/press some buttons.
I made some changes to the anchors of the various screens; tell me if it's better or worse now, especially for those with resolutions other than 16:9.
I want to point out that this great effort does not bring me any significant economic advantage, perhaps a few fewer refunds.
I did it because before being a developer, I am a gamer, or rather I would say a super gamer!
I know what it means to have your smile fade because of a game that does not start, which is why, for me, this type of problem has priority in being solved.
I take this opportunity to remind you to stay tuned with the news, because I am working assiduously on the new "Home Wars: Battlefield", even if I am encountering several problems in the development of the multiplayer component, which however I absolutely want to include.
The war against insects continues, my friends, and we are certainly not the ones to give up!
