Update 0.7.4 - Performance

Hello, The main focus of this update is to improve the game’s performance and to fix some important crashes that would delete your save file. I’m not going to go into too much details but know that you’ll now experience some loading at the following times: [list][*] Launching the game [*] Starting a run [*] Ending a floor [*] Finishing a run [/list] Basically, we’re now preloading a lot of stuff at specific times to avoid frame drops in the middle of a run. That’ll be indicated by a little dancing potato in the bottom right of your screen. [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/35772788/6bb0913be76f3976ba2f77ec54c652f8d0256e41.gif[/img] I’ve reduced the texture page size from 4096x4096 to 2048x2048, which might impact you if you have an older computer and the game keeps crashing because of memory limitations. I also got tons of suggestions and bug reports from y’all so I tried my best to implement them. Don’t worry if you don’t see yours here, I haven’t had the time to go through all of it. Next couple of updates will be focused on adding items and new abilities before I start working on setting up the game for localization! [*] The number of enemies in the arenas of the Hole has been slightly reduced. [*] [b]Plasma Launcher[/b]: now costs 2 energy to use instead of 3 and its projectiles have a larger blast radius. (6) [*] [b]Drone[/b]: you can now only have 1 at a time. Its direction and starting position now depend on your direction when throwing it. [*] [b]Big Nose[/b]: -30% Negotiation => -50%, 100% to get an injection => 50% [*] [b]Axe[/b]: Damage reduced. Recover 1 HP if you hit atleast one enemy. [*] Butcher’s basic attack’s hitbox size has been slightly increased to better match the animation. [*] Fixed some invisible platforms. (1) [*] Fixed a bug where killing a boss with Robbie without having an active ability would crash the game. (2) [*] The Flying Corpse enemy will no longer change direction (and run into the player) when getting hit from behind. (8) [*] Fixed a bug where picking up an item while shielding would freeze the character. (8) [*] Fixed a bug where throwing away the Fat Doll while having the Chef perk would remove the doubling effect of food. (8) (16) [*] Having multiple Demonic Totems will now spawn even more souls. (7) [*] Fixed some typos and descriptions. (6) [*] Cocoons now explode instead of getting attracted by the Void Gun. (10) [*] Spikes in arenas are now displayed in front of the enemies. (8) [*] Fixed a bug where traps weren’t being removed at the end of second boss rooms. (6) [*] The Shield Master trait now allows you to pickup other shields. (13) [*] The Enhanced Fruits perk no longer appears for Robbie. (14) [*] Fixed a bug where Robbie could still find some fruits on the ground instead of tools. (10) [*] Fixed a bug where throwing away the Spider Doll while having the Climber trait would remove the ability to stick to walls. [*] Screenshake option is now set at 75% by default. [*] The Marksman Hat now also affects the Lava Balls. [*] Fixed a bug where ability particles were getting displayed on invulnerable enemies and friendlies. [*] Fixed a bug where you would never take damage from the Blood Donation if you had 1 Max HP or less. [*] The armor stat can no longer go below 0. [*] Fixed some rooms.
