Upcoming Changes + Dev Roadmap!

[b]Happy New Year![/b] It's been almost a week since the Early Access release of Elite Exorcist Miko, and so first of all, a big thank you to all players! I've received a ton of feedback, and I'm itching to jump back into development and start working on more content for you to enjoy! But first, I'd like to share plans for a smaller update that will hopefully be ready around a week from now. Here's a list of upcoming changes: [list] [*][b]Easy Mode![/b] I've thought a lot about this, and ultimately I think this will be a necessary addition in order for more people to be able to enjoy the main story. Many people are new to bullet hells, and while there are ways for players to make things easier, some may not be immediately evident. The current plan for Easy Mode is to lower enemy and boss projectile quantity, and increase healing and invincibility time (on hit or Scroll use). Boss crowns and certain achievements will not be obtainable in Easy Mode, and Extra Stages will not be accessible as they are intended to be optional, difficult fights. [*][b]Better drops![/b] Obtaining materials and Holo Essence to craft equipment and make offerings is currently a fairly slow process, and players may feel frustrated when Holo Essence drops instead of a material they're looking for. While using Simple Sealing speeds up the process, I don't want players to feel forced to use it purely for grinding. The plan is to split material and Holo Essence drops in Main Expeditions so that neither has a chance of replacing the other, and also increase the total drop amount in the process. [*][b]Alternative way to obtain Cosplays![/b] Currently, cosplays are locked behind boss crowns, which may be frustrating for players who are not interested in no-hitting a boss but would nevertheless like her outfit. With the coming update, boss cosplays will be purchasable using their respective Seals! They will still remain obtainable the current way, and Extra Stage boss cosplays will be exempt from this method. [/list] That sums up the changes for the next update! But what about the overall content plan? That's where this roadmap comes in! Do note that the listed release times are estimates and are subject to change. A major update will be made for each Main Expedition stage, with new enemies, 1 midboss and 3-4 bosses, and an assortment of new items. Extra Stages will be implemented in smaller updates in-between, and will each feature a special gimmick that sets them apart from other battles.
