HEARTSHOT is a story driven VR espionage thriller where fast, chaotic gunplay meets retro-inspired cinematic environments. Armed with high-tech magnet gloves, seize weapons from fallen enemies and manipulate your environment as you make your way through a mysterious subterranean complex.
Today is a big day for Heartshot as we’ve fully transitioned our project from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5! This change should help improve some common wobbly-screen issues. If you’re still experiencing weird stutters, try installing the latest drivers for your GPU or adjust some settings in the new graphics menu. Controller offsets may need to be readjusted in the new version.
(0.2.0) Changes;
-Migrated to Unreal Engine 5!
-screen stuttering improved
-major performance improvements
-fully switched to OpenXR
-various holster fixes
-fixed disabled hands problem
-fixed guns sliding around on floor
-Improved reloading stability
-Inputs for WMR and HP Reverb (experimental, still not officially supported)
-graphics settings menu
-fixed some ‘goons sliding around’ issues
-fixed issues with some goons not spawning
-added option for volumetric fog
Now that the engine migration is complete, we’ll be able to focus our efforts on more bugfixes and performance improvements. Once those are in a good place, we’ll move on to additional quality of life features and AI improvements.
Level design for part 2 is already underway and it’s looking sweet!
