Switching Rendering Engine and Opening the Demo to Linux Machines

Emergency Exit

Communicate, cooperate and reach the emergency exit before time runs out! In this thrilling game, explore a dangerous escape plan and solve complex puzzles while your teammate, from the control room, manages the environment and guides you without even seeing you.

After some back-and-forth and quite a bit of frustration, Emergency Exit now uses NW.js as its rendering engine, replacing WebView2. Although this makes the game a larger download, it allowed me to fix some bugs that, while not game-breaking, caused a bit of discomfort (e.g., issues with full screen mode). I’m crossing my fingers that this was the right choice, though right now I’m seeing both pros and cons. I’ll cross them a little harder, just in case… Also, I’ve just released a Linux version. For the same reason I’ll be adding support for additional languages before the final release of Emergency Exit, I want to make the game accessible to an even wider audience. I think our Linux friends will appreciate this. However, note that this is still an untested version. I will give equal attention to both the Windows and Linux versions, so any issues that arise will be fixed. Romain.
