Greetings everyone,
As you were aware, we have been working on a major overhaul for the game, on all game systems based on feedback received from Early Access players and now are ready to launch Season 1 of the game, making it available to a larger audience.
Below is a recap of everything that’s been changed and what is available today in our first major patch.
[h1]PvE GAME MODE[/h1]
By popular demand we have created a PvE-only Mode, which is included for [b]FREE[/b] for all players who have purchased Project L33T.
The PvE Mode concept is pretty clear - Play the game exclusively in PvE mode alone or in coop where you can take your time to learn and not go through the stress of playing online against people who may have more experience in the game genre/gaming in general.
For those who are interested, we will also be offering Private Server rental for the PvE Game Mode allowing you further tweak game parameters and server settings and install server mods.
Another significant difference between PvE and PvPvE modes is that you will have a separate character for this game mode, with their own Global Vault and Character Progression.
For the new players who are interested in the PvE version of the game only and have not purchased Project L33T, the [b]PvE Version of Project L33T will be availabl[/b]e at a low price (US$9.99 - prices may vary per region), with its own separate Game SKU available on Steam in December.
And for those who have purchased the [b]Accession Edition[/b] of Project L33T, you will receive [b]4 complementary game keys for the PvE Version to give out to friends![/b]

[h1]REDESIGNED MEDICAL SYSTEM[/h1]
As we have previously announced and shown sneak peaks on Discord, we have redesigned the medical system, along with the buff system to make it more user friendly and easier to understand and navigate through, but without throwing it all the way to the “Arcady” side.
Now meds clearly show what they heal and their purpose and medical conditions also have a more profound and clear effect, which will be much more practical to understand.
[h1]SECURED CONTAINER REDESIGN[/h1]
Another system that has been redesigned based on feedback is the Secure Container System, here’s a quick breakdown of the changes.
Secure Containers are not represented by physical items anymore, but rather unlocked through mission completions, challenges, as well as game account upgrades.

[h1]NEW MAPS AND LOCALES[/h1]
We will also be bringing some major changes to the first main map, along with new maps. Here’s a breakdown of them.
[h2]Ozersk-3[/h2]
The map has been expanded by around 40% of its previous area and we have redesigned it based on feedback from the community and data we have gathered through our analytics. More spawns and more extraction points have been added and Points of Interest have been moved around the map to improve game flow. OZERSK-3 will also have the[b] first Project L33T boss[/b].

[h2]NEW: Port Vzmor'e Terminal[/h2]
One of the new maps. A small-sized PvP-oriented map. It is perfect for direct gunfights in close combat, pushing and surprising enemies at every corner. [b]This map will be available on this patch. [/b]

[h2]UPCOMING: Minotaur[/h2]
An upcoming Close Quarters Battle indoor map set in an underground military facility. This is a very unique map that will also be accessible through a special portal located within OZERSK-3. This map offers a nice blend of PvE and PvP fights and high value loot. [b]EXPECTED FOR WINTER 2025.[/b]
[h2]UPCOMING: Overseer[/h2]
With a classic “Claustrophobic” huge city feel, this is an urban map inspired by Hong Kong and set as a background for the deep space expiration radar arrays, it’s a mix of indoor and outdoor locations, creating the perfect blend of PvE and PvP with new corners for you to discover every game session. [b]EXPECTED FOR Q1 2025.[/b]
[h2]UPCOMING: Cosmodrome[/h2]
Another open landscape map, set in a “starbase” - a spaceship launch facility style of environment. With little vegetation to use as cover, this map is the greatest example of high risk, high reward loot experience. The PvE aspects of this map is also something to look for as it will bring high level PMC enemies to make it extra challenging.
Big open spaces and vertical structures (including a spaceship launch pad), which will offer great sniping opportunities. This map will introduce another Game Boss - A skilled Sniper. [b]EXPECTED Q1 2025.[/b]
[h1]MAJOR PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS[/h1]
As we noticed from your feedback, performance was an important issue to be dealt with primarily with this patch, to make sure the game does not require only high-end computer setups to be played.
Alongside general optimizations done to the code and all the content, we are now bringing new features that will also allow you to get much better performance and better frame rate.
[h2]GLOBAL ILLUMINATION QUALITY SETTING[/h2]
This feature to increase performance for the game is the Global Illumination Quality settings - You will be able to choose between FIDELITY and PERFORMANCE modes, where FIDELITY leaves the illumination very realistic and PERFORMANCE improving your performance between 2-4 times), with higher frame rate, at the expense of overall graphics quality.
[h3]High Performance/Low Fidelity Lighting[/h3]
This new settings option uses a lower-quality lighting system, providing the best possible performance and frame rate, but sacrificing the overall lighting quality and details. While the differences in the quality might not be blatant in outdoor environments, it will be very apparent indoors in comparison to the FIDELITY settings option.

[h3]High Quality Lighting[/h3]
This setting will use Lumen, a state-of-the-art lighting system that delivers a very realistic lighting, reflections and shadows, creating stunning and immersive environments. However, this comes at a cost: Lumen is a very resource-demanding system, which may result in lower performance and/or reduced frame rates.

[h2]GUN OPTICS RENDERING OPTION[/h2]
Another topic that came from feedback was the gun optics. We have separated it into two different modes.
[h3]Simplified[/h3]
Simplified mode will use a simple zoomed-in view which will support a faster gameplay by rendering only the field of view of the scope, blocking out the surrounding areas. This method demands less on hardware and prioritizes precision and reaction time, making it ideal for fast-paced actions.

[h3]Realistic (Dual-rendering system)[/h3]
This mode provides a much more realistic and tactical experience by preserving peripheral vision while aiming down sights (ADS). That means the field of view inside the score is zoomed while the area outside it remains unzoomed, mimicking real-life optics. This method, however, is more demanding on hardware as it requires the rendering of two different views simultaneously and can significantly impact your frame rate.

[h1]NEW: SHOOTING RANGE[/h1]
The Shooting Range has been redesigned to allow you to try any types of ammo and guns, with all possible attachments, regardless of you owning them.

It will also feature a “smart dummy”, which will allow you to gear them up with armor so you can test the difference in damage against armored and unarmored enemies.

[h1]HUD and MINIMAP[/h1]
We have redesigned how information is presented to your teammates in your HUD, adding more information to the minimap, like active mission objectives, extraction points, etc…)

[h1]NEW: SKILLS SYSTEM[/h1]
On this patch, we will be introducing the initial version of the skills system. More skills will be added over time as well as rebalancing of these will be done throughout the season based on feedback.

[h1]NEW: GUNSMITH[/h1]
A major new feature is the Gunsmith. It is a feature which will allow players to use the services of the Gunsmith to craft their own guns. He will charge you a fee for assembling the gun for you and some of these guns will require “Forge Tokens”, a special currency that can ONLY be obtained in the world or received as rewards for completing missions and challenges.

[h1]AI OVERHAUL[/h1]
We’ve made significant updates to the AI systems, making mobs more "lifelike" and smarter. Below are some of the improvements introduced in the new patch:

[*][b]Mobs Spawning and Behavior[/b]
Mobs now spawn inside apartments and other buildings behind closed doors. They will actively search through closed rooms and apartments, making it more challenging for players to evade them by simply hiding in a room and closing the door.
[*][b]Redesigned "Senses"[/b]
The AI's sensory systems have been redesigned to feel more realistic. Mobs now react to various natural events and demonstrate more "natural" responses to players' actions, enhancing their lifelike behavior.
[*][b]Improved Teamwork[/b]
The AI now functions better as a team, providing cover for one another, flanking players strategically, and using flashbangs and fragmentation grenades more effectively.
