A sequel to 2006's Silent Hill movie started shooting in Toronto today, producer Davis Films has announced.
Silent Hill: Revelation 3D will star X-Men Origins: Wolverine alumnus Adelaide Clemens as lead Heather Mason, alongside Kit Harington, who you'll soon see in HBO's adaptation of fantasy epic Game of Thrones.
Solomon Kane director Michael J. Bassett takes over the director's chair from original helmer Christopher Gans, with Resident Evil: Afterlife cheque-writers Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody serving as producers.
According to the marketing blurb, here's how you can expect the plot to pan out:
"For years, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand.
"Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever."
There's no word yet on when it will be hitting cinemas/DVD bins. You'll just have to make do with the image below for now, offering a glimpse of Clemens in action.
The next game in Konami's survival horror series, Silent Hill: Downpour, is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year.
