We've been hard at work putting together the latest update 0.7.0 for Arcade Tycoon on Steam for you all! This update sees some pretty exciting and new game mechanics and features that we hope that you'll enjoy testing out. The two main features of this update include a completely overhauled Happiness system. This changes the way your Happiness score is calculated, meaning that it now takes into account every customer that has ever visited your arcade. The second main feature is a completely new Save System! This new system will allow you to create multiple profiles with their own separate campaigns allowing you to make countless level saves! Due to the way that the new system works it now means that any saves made from v0.6.1 and before will no longer be compatible with any future updates. We understand however that a lot of you may still want to continue playing on your already existing saves, regarding this, we have made the decision to continue to host v0.6.1 on a separate Steam Beta branch. The 0.6.1 version can be accessed by going to the properties tab for Arcade Tycoon in your steam library. Then select the Betas tab and pick the 0.6.1 version from the drop-down list. Now on to the patch notes --------------------------- ~ Added a Cleaner Bot you can employ to automatically clean the litter in your arcade. ~ Added a customer summary screen to provide more information on the needs of your patrons. ~ Added a manual clean button which enables you to clean up litter in your arcade by clicking on the tile. ~ Added a new repairman who fixes machines as a one-off. Press the repair button to call in a handyman to repair that machine for a small cost. ~ Added a new window that allows players to name their arcade! ~ Added a Profile system which allows you to have multiple campaigns on-going at the same time. Campaign level saves are tied to each profile. ~ Added a progress bar to objectives to show how close you are to completing them. ~ Added a Save system which allows you to make countless amounts of saves for any level you are in. ~ Added Litter Bins to the Utility section, these will reduce the amount of litter dropped within their 5x5 area. ~ Added monthly autosaves. ~ Added rent to the campaign mode. ~ Added Simple and Super contactless upgrades to the Research and Development tree. ~ Added the ability to name your Arcade. ~ Added the Food and Drink Licences to the Research and Development tree. ~ Added the Hardwood, Iron and Carbon Machine Upgrades to the Research and Development tree. ~ Added the Marketing Upgrade to the Research and Development tree. ~ Added the Repair speed I, II and Thunder speed Upgrades to the Research and Development tree. ~ Added the Research and Development screen, to now allow the player to purchase upgrades for each arcade. ~ Added the Reselling I and II Upgrades to the Research and Development tree. ~ Changed the Sandbox slider to increase in steps of 5,000. ~ Customers will now start dropping litter in your arcade. ~ Each campaign level now has a different starting amount of cash. ~ Fixed a bug that caused the tutorial glow effect to be in the wrong position. ~ Fixed a bug which caused customers to try and walk to invalid locations. ~ Fixed a bug which caused handymen to walk through recently placed machines. ~ Fixed a bug which caused multiple handymen to repair the same machine. ~ Fixed a bug which caused staff to become stuck if the "Pick up" button was pressed multiple times. ~ Fixed a bug which caused the building grid to remain after cancelling the operation. ~ Fixed a bug which could cause customers to get stuck and stand idle. ~ Fixed a bug with multiplayer arcades which caused orange tiles to be left behind when the machine was sold or moved. ~ Fixed a localization bug which caused the "repair" button text to not stay within its confines. ~ Fixed a rare occurrence which stopped the walls from being decorated after a save and load. ~ Fixed an incorrect tooltip in the Attractions menu. ~ Fixed being able to resume and purchase while the budget slider is still active in Sandbox mode. ~ Fixed customers not spawning at the door of Train Station. ~ Fixed Staff members not being re-added to the staff list on cancel. ~ Fixed the gambling machines not displaying the correct broken state. ~ Fixed the hover state not showing correctly in the Attractions menu. ~ Fixed the marketing screen not saving which programs were active and inactive on saving and load. ~ Happiness has now been overhauled and is now affected by every customer that has ever been in your arcade. (Previously only the current attendees would be used to calculate the happiness.) ~ Optimised AI to now move to nearby unoccupied machines instead of queuing. ~ Optimised AI to now prioritise grids locations which are closer to their current position. (This will reduce time spent moving and stop customers from pathing to unoccupied areas of the arcade.) ~ Updated Marketing. Now affects customer capacity and spawn rate, each program also has unique benefits! ~ Updated some button images on the main hud. ~ You can now cancel placing a picture by pressing Backspace or Delete key. ------------------------------ As this is quite a major update, we hope you understand that there will be errors and bugs, but you can help us squash them by letting us know, either via #bug-room in our discord or over on our steam forums.
