Going forward, you will receive compendium outfits for each type of compendium: Farming, Fishing, and Hunting. The Cooking outfit is still in production but will arrive after December. Once you've unlocked all items in a given compendium, the outfit will appear in your inventory, and you can equip it from the newly renamed 'Shop & Customize' screen in the menu. We've also added custom backpacks, other clothing items, new faces, and hats. More details on how to achieve them in the next chapter. Here, you can buy items to wear while adventuring on Longvinter Island. Vintercoins, a currency you can buy with your Steam wallet, are also introduced. Additionally, you'll earn 500 Vintercoins by playing about 30 minutes daily. Players who have previously played Longvinter can retroactively redeem Vintercoins based on their playtime. Note that your games library must be public to achieve this. This was the largest overhaul we've done since the game's initial launch, and it will be the last major overhaul of a singular system. The reason for the overhaul was to allow more customization of items and placeables. Now, each item can have unique values, so we don't need to create multiple instances of the same item with minor differences. We can also now store states, like a mini turret battery state, which persists even if you pick it up to relocate. Server lag issues are our top priority, and the item shop and customization shop were completed before we launched 1.12, even to the experimental branch.
