Devlog #45

Hi everyone! šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļøšŸ™‹ā€ā™‚ļø Spring has been starting super slow here in Finland, and we just received a fresh coat of snow here in Helsinki. But time goes forward nonetheless, and we have just finished the feature list for 1.14. Those can be read on our roadmap on Trello. We will be updating the progress on those in real-time so you know when to expect the new update.
Last week for tackle boxes
Spring tackle boxes have been dropping now for over a month. We have decided to stop the drops for the tackle boxes in a week, so you will have until May 6th to get tackle boxes from playing the game. We will be increasing the drop window for tackle boxes from a 2-day cooldown to a 1-day cooldown. For the rest of the month and the first week of next month, you can get a tackle box by logging in every day!
1.14 feature list
As we discussed in an earlier devlog, we now focus more on quality of life and gameplay-related changes, not new features. I would like to highlight a couple of things here, but the full list of planned changes can be read on our Trello page.

Decay time increase We want to allow players to keep their houses for longer with minimal maintenance. For this, we plan to add a new upgrade to the LRI stations where you can buy an upgrade that extends your house decay time for another week. We feel that since servers have quite a lot of room for houses now, and introducing motors to boats has shrunk the size and made areas more accessible, we can allow players to keep their houses for longer.
Normal stones can be broken with a pickaxe This will be a small change but allows many more options to build your house.
More dice games We plan to have more dice games finally implemented, and we would love to hear your suggestions on simple but engaging table games that can be played with dice to be implemented.

EU server reset and KR1 placeable data loss
Unfortunately, we had a couple of incidents with the servers where errors filled up the drives of the machine unexpectedly. This resulted in the server not saving items on the server correctly or not at all. We have taken measures to clear up the server files that take too much space, and we have acquired a new backup server where we will be backing up all the saves periodically so we have the saves on at least 2 machines at all times. Thank you for reading and come say hi to us in Discord!
