Hello Espire Agents! We are aware that a number of steam users have encountered a very frustrating issue where the game fails to launch. After a lot of investigation we believe we may have determined the issue causing it, and a potential fix for steam users. A lot of games made with Unreal Engine are experiencing this issue. Newer CPUs automatically use a new version of OpenSSL that is unfortunately incompatible with older versions of Unreal Engine. The below launch options force the game to use a more stable version of OpenSSL. STEPS 1) Open your Steam library, right click “Espire 1: VR Operative” and select “Properties” 2) Under “General” tab, copy the following into the “Launch Options” field cmd /c "set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000 && %command%" 3) Close the Properties window 4) Launch the game 5) NOTE: A restart of your PC may be required We encourage anyone who has had issues launching the game to try this fix and let us know if it works!
