Greetings space lovers!
In Jump Ship, you'll face a diverse array of enemy ships designed to make every encounter as dynamic as possible. They come in different sizes, shapes and fire power. We're currently testing four main ship types, each with unique roles and challenges. Keep in mind that everything is a work in progress, so designs, names, and numbers might change as we refine the experience.
The current four types are:

Cannon Fodder

Fighters

Gun Ships

Corvette
Cannon Fodder
Cannon Fodder ships are small, fast, and agile. They don’t have much health or firepower, but their speed and movement make them tricky to target. They’re easy to kill when you land a hit.
Fighters
Fighters are the most common ships you’ll encounter, and we currently have two variants: light fighters and heavy fighters. Light fighters are fast and armed with autocannons, while heavy fighters are bulkier and pack more firepower, making them tougher opponents.
Gunships
Gunships offer the most variety in terms of abilities and challenges. We’re experimenting with several types, including autocannon gunships, missile gunships, sniper gunships, and two distinct mine layers.
Missile gunships unleash a barrage of homing missiles, forcing you to dodge and lose them in the chaos.
Sniper gunships, on the other hand, are long-range predators equipped with railguns. They stay at a distance, waiting for the perfect shot, then reposition after firing a devastating blast. They will try to escape if you get too close to them.
Mine layers bring a different kind of danger. Some deploy explosive mines in the air, while others launch infiltrator missiles that attach to your ship’s hull and release enemy units onboard. If you don’t destroy the mines in time, you’ll have to deal with enemies wreaking havoc inside your ship.
We’re also testing a support gunship that shields other enemy ships, making it a priority target when it appears.
The Corvette
Corvettes are the largest enemy ships in the current roster. The broadside corvette we have now circles your ship, firing powerful missile salvos from its sides. These ships add another layer of strategy, as your crew can board them for an on-foot battle to take them down.
Oh btw, you can actually board most of the enemy ships mentioned above, and deal direct damage to them if you prefer :)
Have a nice weekend
xoxo
