Devlog: October Update

Cisco here with a dev update for Private Dick. I'm sorry I didn't post here in September. I posted to my [url=https://www.patreon.com/posts/91402440]free Patreon[/url] but it was a pretty miserable update to be honest. September didn't offer a lot of dev time. I know that people always say "It's OK to post no news, just post regularly!". I've said it, and advised my friends about it. But let me tell you, when you're sitting in the Captain's Chair, it's a lot harder to actually do. You're always waiting one more week for something to happen. Anyway I'm here now and in October things have happened. I've touched the codebase nearly every day, kick off a whole bunch of voiceover recordings (I've got some really exciting announcements to come), added some new content, and commissioned some new art. On the [url=https://www.patreon.com/CiscoDonovan]Patreon[/url] I wrote some stuff about the process of capturing voiceover from the game's acting talent. I am honestly really excited about the game at the moment - a few things are coming together just beautifully. There's a lot of work needed over the next few months but it's really gonna be worth it. I don't really have any pretty pictures to show, and I'm sure (well, I hope!) you'll forgive me for putting gamedev ahead of marketing. I just want to get a sellable build ready so that this stops being vapourware and starts being a credible game. I am still not really sure how to manage this Steam community, especially as there isn't much playable content here. And it feels a lot more formal, a lot more pressured, to post here.
