Delays with the next pumpkin patch and final release

Pumpkin Days

Pumpkin Days is a traditional farming RPG. Pick one of three towns to start your farming adventure. Farm, fish, mine, catch bugs, raise animals, and more. Help fill out the museum to stop a factory from being built on the island. Unless you wish to side with the factory. The choice is yours.

TLDR: The final release is delayed until November. The next patch will have the kids mechanic which is causing the delay due to debugging. The next patch is possible in a week or some time mid- October. Patch delayed but exciting new feature being implemented Hello everyone! It's been a while since our last patch we're hoping that we can patch in about a week, assuming the new system we are implemented on is mostly bug-free. The big feature we are working on that is taking a lot of time are the kids. Some fun mechanics about having kids in the game are: - Children are dynamically generated using traits from both parents - Your baby grows into a toddler which then grows into a child. - Your child can have 1 of 8 different personalities which determine their dialogue - What you feed your toddler affects their personality. - When you leave your farm, your baby and toddler goes in a baby carrier on your back So, unlike most farming games, your baby isn't just a cute decoration in your house that stays in the crib forever. In Pumpkin Days your baby will grow up into a walking talking child NPC. Final version of the game being delayed to work on more bug fixes We wanted to release the final version of the game this month, but that's not going to happen. Too many bugs that we need time to address and too many incomplete aspects of the game that could use more polish. The final release date is possible in November, but we're not sure. The nice thing about being indie is we can prioritize making sure the game is the best it can be before announcing that it is complete. It would have been cute to release during October because it's Halloween, but we still have some more work to do and the responsible thing to do is to postpone coming out of early access. Sorry again for the disappointment, but: "A delayed game is eventually good. A bad game is bad forever" ~ Shigeru Miyamoto So sit tight Pumpkin Days fans, we're still working on the game daily, and once we finally patch there will be a lot of new content for players to explore. Note for Pumpkin Days youtube and streamers I would also like to add for any youtubers and streamers of Pumpkin Days, I highly recommend waiting at least 3 days anytime we patch before recording or streaming Pumpkin Days. The first few days of the game after a patch usually have game-breaking bugs we didn't account for due to implementing new content. But we're usually good about fixing those up as soon as they are reported. Any questions, comments, or suggestions let us know :). Thank you guys for your support and cheering us on.
