New Challenge: Boss Rush
Having gathered plenty of data, Yi Xue has now created a most interesting (hellish) challenge: [Boss Rush] During this mode, you'll be faced with three groups, each comprising ten mighty foes. You will be forced to fight back-to-back until all ten foes have been bested. Ultimately, she has decided to name them [Boss Sets]. These unlock as you progress through the Boss Rush and best more foes. Summon an Ancient Fox Incense to attack enemies. "Strange Tales from the Netherworld": "The Ancient Fox has a living incense burner with a mind of its own. It gives off a very pleasant smell that the Ancient Fox always uses it to light his smokes. Obviously, there are more things than meets eye about it." [*]Singularity Boots: Create a singularity when you dodge that drags enemies and deals a small amount of damage. Has a 10-second cooldown. "Samsara Society Record": "The Singularity Boot was our old CEO's most proud invention. The original pair, made personally by his hands, is being kept by the Witches of Kwenlun. We made replicas later on. However, their power is somewhat lacking compared to the original." [*]Cranial Bugger: Summon a Mini Oddity to fight for you. Has a 15-second cooldown and only one can be active at any given time. "The Record of Ancient Times": "There is a phenomenon within the Five Oddities called a Mini Oddity. It's a miniature, adolescent version of its bigger cousin that possesses some of their power but far less destructive." [*]Abomination Sac: Unleash malice in every direction when taking a hit or after a successful parry to slow and deal damage to enemies. "Yinyang Recipes": "The sac of the Gelatinous Abomination needs to be removed before being cooked. The removed sac has other special uses as a food charm." [*]Evil Master's Charm: When a Charged attack hits an enemy, summon a Divine Master's Charm at the target location and deal area damage. "Strange Tales from the Netherworld": "The Divine Master's Charm is derived from the virtuous study of Taoism. Its evil counterpart is not as righteous, but a lot more powerful." [*]Thorn Seed: Randomly summon up to 3 friendly Thorns in your vicinity. The attack power of the Thorns is dependent on the caster's own attributes. "Strange Tales from the Road": "The Thorn Devil is unintelligent and can be cultivated to serve humans if their seed could be acquired." [*]Spike Vine: Summon a lurking Spike Vine to attack enemies from time to time. The attack power of the Spike Vine is dependent on the caster's own attributes. "Strange Tales from the Road": "Spike Vine is a symbiotic devil that grows on powerful hosts and serves their host's purpose. There are rumors that someone grew these on themselves and managed to bend the vines to their will." [*]Stink Pill: Dodging, taking hits, or successfully parrying will unleash a stinky gas cloud that damages any enemies that enter it. The power is dependent on the caster's own attributes. "The Record of Ancient Times": "It's said the Weasel Devils has a special pill that makes whoever takes it fart uncontrollably. This gas, while humorous, has the ability to damage enemies." [*]Thunder Eye: Cast Sky Thunder against your target when successfully parrying an attack; if you take a hit, cast Rampant Thunder instead. The power is dependent on the caster's own attributes. "Artifacts Explained": "It's said that the ancient gods possessed an actual Acalanatha that derives its power from an energy crystal called the Thunder Eye."
Set Effect: Attacks that land on a boss will create projectiles with the total power equaling your attack power. While in a boss fight, you gain an additional 30% damage reduction.
